Does anyone know if the non Scottish teams are kept apart for tomorrow's draw or is it just 16 teams in the one hat and free for all. Last season it was free for all, but no word this year.

Rules are slightly different this season. There is no longer really such a thing as an emergency loan (blame FIFA) but it means we, alongside clubs in League One and Two can still bring in loan players until the end of September even though the traditional window closes tomorrow. The same thing happens in January, where we would get until the end of February. Good week for ToB, although I think he is suspended for tomorrow night. Accumulation of two cautionable offences in the Betfred Cup (caution totals revert to zero prior to start of Round 2 and prior to the start of semi-final Effective immediately to rounds) He picked up a very late booking against Elgin and also one against United.

I'm not really sure Dick is alone in his thoughts of the early start of the Cup and how the smaller clubs are hindered by players on holidays and no trialists etc as Jim Goodwin pretty much came out with the exact same words in the press conference. They have one other senior player who is ill, and Goodwin explained he was on the bench to make up numbers as they can't get any loan players in until August. There was certainly cameras filming it. 3 on the gantry and 1 from the main stand. I normally film GoPro of the goals at Gayfield but didn't last night out of respect for both clubs. There wasn't too many highlights to be fair!
