  1. I'm sure Dick already has his targets for next season but Aaron Duke sounds like he could add something to our team. Obviously as some players have shown the development league to League 2 is a big jump but if he is released now, maybe a chance to get him in now? http://dufc.co/news/development-three-seek-new-clubs/
  2. Our fans love to have to express their angst at a player. Wilson was unfortunately the victim earlier in the season, now it's turned to Grehan. As for age - don't you recall Lee Erwin? All the talk on the terrace about signing a "youngster" and look how good he was for us. As for Josh Skelly - well he already knows Gayfield pretty well. ooof pick that out!
  3. BBC Football Gossip had reported that the Daily Express today quoted that Queen of the South have offered him a trial.
  4. Rescheduled date for the postponed League match v Berwick Rangers Tuesday 15th December - 7.45pm kick off.
  5. Probably because he and Jamie Reid both have had knee injuries for several weeks and are just slowly making their way back to full fitness.
  6. A trip maybe to McDiarmid park in the near future? http://www.arbroathherald.co.uk/sport/local-sport/angus-clubs-sign-up-for-forfarshire-cup-1-3911229
  7. A bit off topic, but in today's Scotsman East Fife are ranked 10th in Scotland for the most followers on Social Media. http://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/money/which-scots-football-club-is-best-on-social-media-1-3908876?utm_content=buffer98017&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer#axzz3nu1PuMTY Although it seems Holly may have got her sums wrong as the East Fife Facebook page seems about 800 higher than your official one. Still mighty impressive!

  9. According to the Courier I think this is the striker who scored 2 against the Vics http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/east-kilbride-fc-end-winless-4795372 http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/east-kilbride-striker-victoria-clears-4442149

  11. The squad is looking good, and with different types of midfielders it looks like that our style of play will be able to adapt to different situations. We only have 19 players, so with a matchday squad of 18 it’s still a small compact squad. There has already been goals from midfield from Reid, Gold, Sergio and I’m sure that was seen as a weakness last season as apart from Bobby, there wasn’t that many apart from a surge from Dylan in his first loan outing. The team already seems far more physical and have lots of height with – Hay, Munro, Clarke, Sergio, Stewart, Coult and Grehan which again we have been lacking in recent years. Reid and Gold look good with the ball at their feet going forward, then Whatley, Lowdon, Clarke and McWalter are all able to play in defence if needed. I’d like to see another striker come in (maybe that’s where we use a loan) but I’m looking forward to Saturday. Dunfermline look like a very different side to the team we played two seasons ago, so hopefully a very good game to look forward too! Wee Josh will be back too I guess!
  12. Perfect! Thanks again! They look really, really good.
  13. These are fantastic! Cheers! I was looking for these, but wasn't sure who made them. Did you make them last season too? If you are responsible and reading your other posts, you like the devil in the detail! the black away kit actually has a white Pendle logo, and the Crest is Maroon like the home kit too. Thanks again. Very much appreciate seeing these for the upcoming season.
  14. http://www.arbroathherald.co.uk/sport/local-sport/boss-todd-says-lichties-won-t-get-carried-away-1-3833400 It doesn't say how bad it is. Hopefully not too bad. Whatley was also missing with a knock.
  15. Hardly - 5th game in 10 days or so. Won 4, without conceding, now playing a full time team, with our players having worked today. You should worry, after the mighty Wick Academy did you in WHM - Munro has a groin tear
  16. Tonights closed door game against Alloa Athletic has been called off. Is anyone going to go through to Edinburgh on Wednesday night?
  17. Friendly away to alloa tomorrow evening is a closed doors match

  20. Gayfield wasn't the same without you on Tuesday SL - Glad to see you back tonight The whole team played well on Tuesday, but I was left impressed by how they seemed to have an understanding with one another, when you consider only Linn, Stewart, Little and Johnstone started from last season it was very encouraging. Hay and Clarke looked very composed on the ball and both were looking to come out with the ball to set up an attack and I'm sure it was one of these counters by Hay that led to Hester's goal. Gold and Reid both looked hungry to win possession back. Fleming to be honest had little to do. I thought Stewart was a contender for man of the match. It certainly leaves TL a nice headache as Whatley still has to come in and also Wilson as well. The difference in height was quite noticeable - Fleming is a giant, Hay, Munro, Stewart, Clarke and Coult all must be well over 6 foot. Maybe see more of a traditional pre-season friendly tonight with lots of substitutes in the second 45.

  22. Just training to keep fit. Signed and still very much a Nairn County Player.
  23. Could keeper Calum Antell be on his way too? I'm sure Dayle and Kiffy were both at St Johnstone and Sheerin advised them / brought them to Gayfield where they then played in the youth set up. I'm sure Dayle also went through a pretty major operation at the start of the year so is just probably getting back to full fitness. Hopefully he gets a chance. Still need a few, but getting there. Goalkeepers Allan Fleming Defenders Craig Johnstone, Craig Wilson, Graham Hay, Ricky Little, Andy Munro Midfielders Kieran McWalter, Keiran Stewart, Mark Whatley, Jamie Reid, Jordan Lowdon, David Gold Forwards Bobby Linn, Lewis Coult, Martin Grehan
  24. I have a message from Karen who is the star in our club shop; There was a clean up the kit room at Gayfield which a lot of old random kit was donated to Malawi but there are 3 boxes which contain almost full kits which have been put together which would be ideal for a team who play in the juniors or in a pub league, etc, etc. These are old Arbroath Shirts, so they have the Arbroath Logo, Shirt Sponsors, Numbers etc and are all one size (40 if I recall) Box 1 - Short Sleeved Maroon Arbroath tops with numbers from 2 to 17 Box 2 - Long Sleeved Maroon Arbroath tops with numbers from 2 to 17 - However Shirt 5 has a different sponsor to the rest of the shirts. Box 3 - Short Sleeved Yellow Arbroath tops with numbers 2 to 20, with 17 pairs of navy socks, and 16 pairs of various sizes of navy shorts - sm, lg etc. Each Box is for sale with the prices starting around £50 but Karen is willing to listen to offers. I’m posting on here for Karen as I know there are a few people who play football and it’s not something normally people who come into the club shop would buy! Again ideal for a club who plays in Arbroath or have an Arbroath link. If you are interested in buying one of the boxes, please email Karen at merchandise@arbroathfc.co.uk
