  1. Clearly time constraints had an impact on the quality of the survey. Question 10 could have benefited from having an "unlike Arnie I won't be back" type response included. Well done on getting something out there.
  2. Sent mine at 7 30 no problem. Maybe their inbox is bursting at the seams edited for typo
  3. Sent to SPL and SFA. I implore both the SPL and SFA to reconsider the current restructuring proposals being put to member clubs at the moment. These are being viewed as completely unacceptable. They seem to be for the benefit of the club formerly known as Rangers as opposed to proposals for the good of all Scottish clubs. I refer in particular to the proposal to have the Newco Sevco 5008 club immediately placed in the SFL First Division. This proposal appears to have upset SPL fans, SFL fans and fans of the club formerly known as Rangers. Well done that is some feat. You are supposed to be custodians of the GAME of FOOTBALL at a senior level in Scotland please act accordingly and do the thing that we all know to be correct and have any new club enter at the level of SFL Division 3 in competition with other applicants. Otherwise I think you will find fans like me who have supported their clubs in my case for forty fours years will "just do walking away" FOREVER!
  4. FFS it's blackmail now. This is just totally disgraceful. Words fail me. Fvcking clowns have killed the game.
  5. I think this is true. However, the placing of "The Rangers" in Division 1 is farcical and will only inflame the supporters of all Scottish clubs. I'm with Welsh Bairn's suggestion of 3 x14 leagues this would be a much more acceptable compromise IMO . Cutting down time to get to top flight to two years rather than three. I reckon all fans including "The Rangers" fans would buy that proposal.
  6. Just been listening to Keith "petted lip "Jackson on Talksport. Unbelievable pish he spouts. Apparently it's all the fault of us internet forum loudmouths that his dear Rangers are being punished. We are a small vocal minority that has forced our clubs to "punish" the Rangers unjustifiably. It was all Craig Whyte's fault according to Keith. Ok Keith since you appear to be a member of the hard of thinking club, here are a few facts; * your club were cheating by using EBT's under Minty moonbeams not Craig Whyte; * your club ran up an astronomical amount of debt thus killing yourselves; * you club had absolutely no sympathy for Airdrie when they were in trouble; * your club wanted to leave the SPL and would have done so if the opportunity presented itself: * Rangers have had one punishment a ten point deduction which was tokenistic and had no impact whatsoever on income: * the vote is against a NEWCO you half wit, your Rangers are DEAD, this is not a punishment; * the one punishment Rangers received was foolishly appealed; and I think you will find that 90% of the fans of other SPL clubs don't want newco. Hardly a minority. I have colleagues that can help you with numeracy problems please attend one of our classes. I await with bated breath for the punishments for Rangers to actually really begin. Internet Forum loudmouth and proud of it.
  7. Was at Kilwinning station yesterday. I had a wee smirk at the Gaelic translation for Kilwinning it's Cill D'Fhinnein. I'm inclined to believe that's not Gaelic but in fact old scots for eliminate the Roman Catholic chaps.
  8. Listened to Talksport this morning and de Boer spinning the line that the SPL will die without Rangers, as a previous poster said, this is the new myth being propogated by the succulent lamb brigade and other Rangers apologists. So correct me if I am wrong, relegated Dunfermline will have no Rangers, no Celtic and no Sky money. They also have a significant level of debt, so will they die? Will they f*ck!! Other SPL Clubs will take a financial hit but not one that will sink them. For me I would be happy for my club to field a team of amateurs if this ensured that justice for the financial doping that Rangers are clearly guilty of was seen to be done.
  9. Suprised at Graham being released. He was one of your best players IMO
  10. If they are using the "Miller Time" model, then as I understand it , the creditors will have the option of accepting a CVA or getting nothing as Rangers assets will be transferred to NEWCO and will be untouchable. The BTC applies to the old co which will have come out of administration through the CVA. In this respect newco can't be liable. I hope I am wrong. edited for grammar
  11. Oh do keep up dear boy Posted 19 April 2012 - 20:24 Can we have an online petition requesting the transfer of David Murray's knighthood to Craig Whyte for his services to waste disposal?
  12. Coincidentally it was a Rovers fan that introduced me to GlenDronach. Go on drink it!
  13. That would be at number one for me. hugely helped by P&B being one of the few places that has shone the spotlight on the real issues time and time again. It reminds me of Private Eye when Diana died. Amongst the hysteria and press calling her "Queen of Hearts". Private Eye were saying hold on a minute last week you lot (the press) were calling her slapper of the year. Also as it appears this saga/pantomine may be coming to an end soon. I nominate Pozbaird for a knightood for services to Scottish football fans (and comedy).
  14. From the same distillery as produces Glen Dronach comes Ben Riach. Both are fine particularly the 18 year olds.
  15. Does that make this Walter Mitty bid mark 5? They should have taken that boy's offer of the empty Irn bru bottles
  16. I am surprised that no one in the press has picked up on the real implications of Ticketus withdrawing as a bidder or part bidder. They obviously don't think any of the bids are viable. To me this means that they have clearly realised that the liquidation of Rangers represents the way to optimise their return. I just can't see how a CVA is possible now as Ticketus won't be remotely interested in that route and must have sussed that other creditors ain't buying that option either. Time to get the bunting oot methinks.
  17. From the Random Thoughts re Scots Law blog So Will Rangers (In Administration) Run out of Money, and When? Yes. From all the calculations above (which I accept may well be wrong, but they are based on the best data available) I see it as being very hard for Duff & Phelps to make it past the end of June. In addition of course, none of the above includes a penny paid to the Big Tax Case, the Medium Tax Case or the Wee Tax Case. For Rangers to survive, Duff & Phelps need to sell the company to a bidder who will (a) pay off Craig Whyte for his interest and (b) put enough in the pot for a CVA to be acceptable to the taxman and other creditors. In addition, they need to complete the sale by the end of June. As that process would involve an investment over £100 million, without a penny going on players or staff, I think we can agree that that is not happening, and even if it was remotely possible, it is not happening within the next ten weeks! For there to be an attempt for a “Rangers” to survive, Duff & Phelps would need to sell off the assets of Rangers Football Club PLC to a buyer in sufficient time for that purchaser to organise a license to play in the SFL/SPL, and for all arrangements to be put in place for a team to start next season. The longer Duff & Phelps succeed in keeping the doors open, the less chance there is for a new owner of a “Rangers” to get everything in order in time for preparation of fixture lists for next season, for example. I am coming to the view that there is almost certainly not going to be a Rangers, nor indeed a “Rangers” playing in Scottish football next season (apart from the team from Berwick of course). The best, and possibly now only way to get over the hurdles of time and potential legal challenge to any sale as mentioned above, would be for a person or consortium looking to save “Rangers” to buy an existing club, and rebrand it, moving it, ideally, but subject to agreeing rent with the owner, to Ibrox. It appeared that Rangers may have tried this with St Mirren and there are rumours that Cowdenbeath could be ripe for takeover. We will need to wait and see.

  19. Inspired me that To the tune of American Pie So, bye-bye, to sectarian lies The bears want on the bevvy But the bevvy’s run dry And us good old boys will be drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin' this'll be the day Rangers die This'll be the day Rangers die
  20. Your restraint is admirable sir. I sincerely hope Jim knows what he is talking about!
  21. All is not lost another quote from bbc website Jim in Balfron responds to SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster's comments this evening on Sportsound: "With respect to Neil Doncaster his interpretation of his own rules are wrong! In any company it is for the company in general meeting to determine membership . Article 14 of the SPL rules apply and the board MUST abide by that rule which says that the board can only transfer a share or admit a new club on being Directed by the members in general meeting voting with an 83 or 90% majority-- any other action is Ultra Vires and leaves various parties liable in damages!!!!!"
  22. BBC website quote says SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster tells BBC Scotland's Sportsound that if Rangers go into liquidation there is no guarantee that they would be re-admitted into the top league, and that there is no provision for them entering the Scottish Football League.
