  1. We were at the MTC in July (first game of the season) and November (Junior Cup tie) and there was toilets and a food stall inside the ground. Maybe some jobsworth from the council has turned up and told them that they can't have these inside the ground, some council byelaw or licence required.
  2. That was the part that stood out for me as well as: "Talks have been ongoing in the background for several months now, with a focus on how, and indeed if, the current site can be developed, an issue on which we hope to update soon." Safeguards need to be put in place to ensure that Johnstone Burgh FC and its supporters aren't left with nothing.
  3. Largs v Beith from where I stand. The game is into time added on and Largs are pushing for an equaliser. Beith number 9 breaks clear and scores to make it 3-1 to Beith. He then runs over to Largs bench and there are word exchanged. The teams then form up for the restart and the referee calls the Beith number 9 over and books him. The game is ready to go again when the Beith manager Strain starts shouting and wanting to fight, not sure who with. He is being restained by the Beith coaching staff and the referee runs over and gives him a red card. As he is lead away by the Beith coaching staff he starts shouting at the Largs manager Davidson and it gets out of control from there with the referee and his two assistants standing in the centre circle. Things start to calm down the referee blows his whistle and as everybody makes their way off the field, at that point he red cards the Largs manager. My first thoughts were that the referee had blown for full-time but as we leave the ground it is confirmed that he has abandoned the game. Let’s be clear the game would have finished soon after the restart and it’s not the referees fault Strain lost the plot.
  4. For Mr. Know it All from Troon: LAW 9 THE BALL IN AND OUT OF PLAY 9.1 Ball out of play The ball is out of play when: · it has wholly passed over the goal line or touchline on the ground or in the air · play has been stopped by the referee · it touches a match official, remains on the field of play and: o a team starts a promising attack or o the ball goes directly into the goal or o the team in possession of the ball changes. In all these cases, play is restarted with a dropped ball. 9.2 Ball in play The ball is in play at all other times when it touches a match official and when it rebounds off a goalpost, crossbar or corner flagpost and remains on the field of play. The Largs defender's pass hit the ref and rebounded, back to another Largs defender therefore none of the above in 9.1 apply. Play on correct decision.
  5. Largs - Cambuslang, match abandoned after 22 minutes with score at 0-0. Ref decided wind was to strong, ball not staying still for free-kicks etc.
  6. Fantastic win today. Our third and the equaliser was brilliant, check it out on the Largs Thistle Twitter. Believe this is our first win at Bellsdale since May 2013 when we beat Cumnock in the Ayrshire Cup Final. Well done to all.
