    I think this one of Clyde’s Harry Haddock has been posted before but it got me wondering when Scotland wore this shirt. Not sure if they wore it more than once but they v Hungary in December 1954. Scotland lost 2-4 in front of 113,146, no bad for a dreich freezing Wednesday afternoon. Looks like the pitch had been covered in straw.     I’ve lived in Australia for over 40 years and still have a Scottish accent although nowhere near as broad as it used to be. Still causes problems if I have to spell something to someone face to face or on the phone, especially with some vowels, especially A. My daughters spoke with Dundee accents until they started school.

    For any Jackson Irvine fans he’s just put Australia 1-0 up after 13 mins in a friendly in Sydney v Ecuador. Then laid on the second for Awer Mabil to make it 2-1 after 32 mins.
