  1. The late Alan Gordon scoring one of a hat-trick in a 3-0 win over Dumbarton in the old First Division in April 1974.:His second hat-trick of the season,as he scored all of Hibs goals in a 3-3 draw with Dundee in March. Dundee winning the replay at Dens 3-0 in front of 30,888. Have a feeling there hasn’t been a higher crowd at Dens since then, Alan Gordon played for Hearts, Hibs, Dundee and Dundee United. Picture from cover of the Hibs v Arbroath prgramme from Arbroath Archive.

  4. Seeing as you’re determined not to win it outright I confirm your Thursday score was 8 but I’d written it down as 9. What this means is QD is being thrown out the window for the Wannabe this week and because of your honesty @Arch Stanton and yourself are joint champions. First time for you and eleventh for @Arch Stanton An amended table below.
  5. Former professional golfer and US Curtis Cup team member, Stephanie Sparks, is off to hear the number one song in heaven as she fails to beat the clock by missing the cut at 50. https://www.news.com.au/sport/golf/former-golf-pro-turned-tv-star-stephanie-sparks-dead-at-50/news-story/f89dc2cccb3cd8f9c8d10413b685326c
  6. Radiohead - Where I End And You Begin
  7. PLAYOFFS @Leeds Saint v @Eednud @BigBo10 v @NJ2 As one of the above is me it’s probably best if someone else sets the question.
  8. Second week in a row it's final tables on Saturday. In the top division it's an Abu Dhabi doo for @Helpma who becomes a 17 time winner by 1 point from @TheGreenElves who takes his 28th second place on QD from @Bully Wee Villa. Heading down are @Ross. @peasy23 and @Duszek with @Leeds Saint in the playoff spot thanks to @Aubrey Maturin and @Cardinal Richelieu having better QD. We have a first time Wannabe winner in @velo army who jagged @Arch Stanton by 1 point into second place with @The Hologram also heading up. @Eednud pipped @German Jag to the playoff spot on QD. They probably all know where they left their bucket and spade so off to splish and splash are @ArmadaleKillie @pleslie99 and @senorsoupe with @BigBo10 in the playoff. The Last Chance winner is @JamesP_81, his 13th win at this level. Runner-up one point behind is @Claudia Gentile gaining his first promotion. Also promoted and a further point behind is @specsaver. @NJ2 is in the playoff. It's a Wooden Spoon ruby anniversary for @BaSeDG0DSA1NT
  9. Jim Hermiston, Brisbane Lions and George Campbell, SM Hellas in action in 1978. Jim Hermiston was voted NSL Player of the Year in 1980. He was a NSL Cup winner with Brisbane City in 1977 and again with Brisbane Lions in 1981.
  10. More Motherwell connections Down Under. Dixie Deans and Jumbo Muir with Adelaide City in 1978. This was an away game at Footscray JUST that City won 1-0. Dixie Deans scored 30 goals in 3 seasons with City. Jim Muir played 5 times for Australia in 1980 (England, Northern Ireland 3, Mexico). The same pen picture of Jim Muir was used in programmes for all the games).
  11. In 1978 Peter Marinello played 11 games, scoring 1 goal on loan for Canberra City in the second NSL season. He was with Motherwell at the time.
