WoSFL Premier Division thread
Lynchmob11 replied to glensmad's topic in West of Scotland Football League
Talbot got no appetite to go up at present by all accounts so would be interesting to see how they dealt with the play offs if they did win the league. -

You really need to question your sources Bill. No one on pre contracts but believe what you want as some people like to stir up nonsense for their own ends. McGlinchey was going to leave in the summer so looks like a good bit of business by the club to get a fee for him. Any player that doesn’t want to be at a club, for whatever the reasons, should be moved on as only cause’s disharmony within the dressing room. -
Not keen on kicking John when things go as many predicted long ago, as he has always been very welcoming to myself, but the harm he allowed his club and previous manager to do is unforgiveable. Both parties got completely lost in their egos. Both parties had no idea or respect of the level and thought they could approch any player they fancied regardless of the affect on the other clubs. Pushed transfer fees and wages to unsustainable levels for many clubs at WOSFL levels over the last 4/5 years and we are probably still to see the long term damage this has done. Only hope Burgh come to some sort of reality check soon or the madness is just going to change post codes.

This so far off the mark it probably suggests you have absolutely no clue of the finances at either club. 23 k paid out in known transfer fees since the start of the season never mind the wages of Low,Little,Gallacher,McGonigle to name but a few. Beith have spent heavily in ground improvement works over the last few seasons all self funded. Not much change from 100k for lights is a a huge outlay for any club at this level but then a good few licensed clubs have not had this cost as they are either in a council funded facility or had it paid by a benefactor. Nice if you can get it but don’t mock clubs who are not in this fortunate position. Keep kidding yourself on regards what Bankies are spending as it might make you feel better in May if the gamble fails and they don’t get up this season. -

Don’t believe someone is an expert just because they told you they are. -

Wouldn’t be the first club treasurer to not actually know the true finances of their club. -

Neither yourself or Bankiebill clearly have no idea what your club are spending but bury your heads in the sand if you wish. If you actually believe yous have only bought 3 players in 5 years that is quite worrying but then thats maybe the line your leaders feed the fans! Watch this space if the gamble fails. -

Bankies throwing everything at promotion this season. One of the few clubs in the WOSFL that actually believe that the Lowland League is worth going to with all the additional travel costs and poorly supported teams that come with it.Hope it works out well for them as they will not be missed with their vastly inflated egos and arrogant fan base.God forbid what they would be like if they had actually been successful in their resurrection. Given their level of spending on players in recent times they should really be getting up but we all have seen that doesnt guarantee anything given what happened tp Darvel. -

Think you might be meaning two season ago league winner as last years winners would never pay players anything like those figures. -

Utter nonsense regarding Conner McGlinchey. With regards Blair leaving then it is hardly the fault of Beith that certain clubs are willing to offer players at our level rediculous deals that turn their heads. Stick to worrying about the Bankies as Beith will be just fine with regards being in the running for another league flag. -

No point in trying to defend yourself Gorms as you are the easy target as you are no longer there. Truth be known the exit of Strain was the beginning of the demise for the Buffs and the Chairman exiting the scene early in the season certainly didn’t help the stability of the club. -

Time for the Blazers to walk.........
Lynchmob11 replied to Glenconner's topic in West of Scotland Football League
Correct my beef is that Glenafton should’ve had no say in rearranging the game as the League should’ve automatically sorted that out given the clash with the Euro final but by not making that call it allowed Glen’s to use it to their advantage. -

Lynchmob11 replied to Glenconner's topic in West of Scotland Football League
Anyone who knows anything about football in the west of Scotland knows that no team should be playing at the same time as Rangers in a Euro final. The minute the semifinal result was clear and the Europa final date was confirmed all other games in Scotland should’ve been rescheduled. -

Glenafton were well aware that by sticking to the Wednesday fixture was going to make it harder to field a full team as Blantyre had asked for the game to be switched as they knew they would be struggling for a team. Yes the League/Kenny should have stepped in and forced the cancellation and none of this nonsense would’ve arisen. -

Easy for you to say given your team are safe from relegation. Glens knew exactly what they were doing by not agreeing to switch the game. Should’ve been taken out both teams hands and moved to the Saturday as both team’s were not playing on that day. -

Glenafton knew exactly what they were doing by refusing to switch the game as they were talking about it in the Saturday game against Beith. The game should never have been arranged on the night of a Euro final with a team from the West of Scotland with a huge fan base from everywhere taking part. Afton would’ve beat Blantyre in any case but forcing it on to help there own ends is unsporting at the least and is totally unfair in the two other teams left in the relegation places along with them. -
Good to see the Lok re-cyling their old flag pole, not that they,ve had much use for it in a while!

Only pointing out the facts M8 but keep up your righteous beliefs about your beloved club. Don’t remember yous winning a lot under Minford,Gray or Rambo so just pray Tucker has the appetite to go a few more seasons as he is more responsible for the success than anyone else at the club just as Knox was previously.

No of course they aren’t as they got their quarter final with Hurlford postponed on player health grounds back in early March but that doesn’t change the fact that after deciding to withdraw from this seasons league citing players welfare as one of reasons they then decide that some players can go and play elsewhere on loan if the club they were going to suited Talbot only then to state that they would be happy to participate in playing out the 2019/2020 Scottish Junior Cup. A tad hypocritical to say the least although not alone as Pollok were going to do the same thing.
