He still hasn’t told us about the “joke” with the apartheid SA flag in his profile at one point.  There is one bottle, hate filled person on this board, and it isn’t any of the tartan gonks.

Yeah.  Solicitor-Advocates across Scotland are raging at Humza's interference in the judicial system.  Wee Jo Cherry is taking Tommy - £250K covid money - Sheppard to court.  Humza - again - is whining about how toxic politics in Jockland is.

The entire north region of Britain is being torn apart by neds, boors and Shinner.  Yet, of course, I'm the hateful one.

"wad some pow'r the giftie gie us..."

In court, you either prove the position or you don’t.

The logical position is the old Scots verdicts of Proven and Not Proven.  Sadly, we were influenced by English law, and “guilty” wormed its way in.

There it is.  Blame the fucking English.  For everything.

You don’t think it’s a bit odd as a Rangers fan to criticise what kids wear to a women’s champions league semi final clash?

After my wee yin told me she wouldn't sit with me unless I left my UJ bowler in the car I felt I'd earned the right...

If the lawyers continue to lose their minds over the abolition of the "not proven" verdict, maybe the best idea would be to abolish the "not guilty" one instead.

In all of my 20ish years in P&B this is, singularly, the most stupid statement  I have ever read on P&B.  That includes every post from every Celtic fan, including Magee.

"If you don't like 'not proven' then do away with 'not guilty' too."

    FFS!

I've just noticed your edit. This is absolutely not what anyone is arguing about here.

This, though, is exactly what is happening within the very narrow-focussed - single objective - Nationalist movement.

You are all fighting with each other over how iJock should look.  Meanwhile, ignoring the 55+ percent of ordinary Scots who think you're no more than a thicket of hate-fuelled halfwits who like donning the Glengarry and turning their dugs into unicorns.

No wonder Kinky relates to her so much.

Says the daft wee man who said of JC's canceling, "there are literally no legal consequences'.

The idea that a broad movement consisting of many thousands of people has different factions and views on certain issues is not a new one m74.

Absolutely.  Broad movements have their issues.  It's one reason I stopped my Tory subscription.  I didn't feel that, as a one-nation, pro-EU supporter, I was well represented.  I'm now happy to sit on the fence and choose according to who represents my constituency or ward best.

Your problem is that ScotchNattery is as narrow a movement as narrow can get with one single aim:  to partition Britain.  Yet you can't even aim at that without hating each other.  You have fucked this up massively.

But then if you're all about division and hate then no wonder you hate each other.  That's the sort of person who is attracted to this movement.

How fucked in the head do you have to be to argue with each other about how Scotch you are?

  7. 4 minutes ago, Marlo Stanfield said:

If this was the case she would have left the SNP already.

She's a litigious, tedious bore who loves the sound of her own voice.

Thanks, buddy.  The more fissures - 'not my sort of Jock' - we get in the nasty Nat movement the better.

Hoping we get a poster or two on here to describe her as a 'bitter old TERF' or somesuch.  We know how much you Nats love your ignorant invectives.

  8. 2 minutes ago, Leith Green said:

Come on man, frankly I dont know the legal answer here (it seems a bit boring tbh) but you are never getting any traction with that "balkanisation" bollocks you keep spouting........

Except that is exactly what is happening.  You can even see it beginning to develop on this thread.

The whole Cherry vs Sheppard debate is entirely about the right or wrong sort of Nat.

Since Sturgeon resigned - all the legal issues of the SNP aside - it's all been about the right or wrong sort of JockNat.

Not that I have any issue with you hating each other to death.

  9. 17 minutes ago, Leith Green said:

I dont think the legal outcome is as cut and dried as some think

The legal outcome is now irrelevant.  The fun part is the political outcome.

What we're seeing is the fragmentation - the balkanisation - of the tawdry Nat movement.  And you, yourself, are complicit here with your castigation of the estimable Fergus Ewing.

You Nats are now in a fight for The Right Sort of Scot.

The whole thing is an unedifying spectacle.

No it isn't.  When you support the politics of division you attract divisive characters.  This is no more than what's expected.

    42 minutes ago, Trogdor said:

Those on the left cheering this as some sort of greater good and those on the right crying about free speech are as bad as one another imo.

This isn't about L or R.  It's about the right or wrong sort of Nat.  This is the kind of petty squabbling the ugly politics of division brings.

    42 minutes ago, Trogdor said:

JC is a self publicist and should be criticised for it.

JC is a modest and self-effacing late-middle-aged KC.  She gets attention.  That doesn't mean she encourages attention.

You're going to be very disappointed when there are literally no legal consequences. 😂

That's Jo Cherry's solicitors just sent in her papers outlining her legal case and the possible ramifications.

The expectation being, of course, that there are 'legal consequences'.

The cherry (no pun) on top is the increasing Balkinisation of Scotland's idiotic Nationalist movement.

    You really hate each other.

I think they will have a lot of support to do the right thing if Cherry does take action.

Just to be clear, the “right thing” here is to hold their position.

I hope you're right.  To see one Nat MP - Cherry - challenge another Nat MP - Sheppard - is exactly what we're looking for.

The more viscous it gets the better.

  15. 2 minutes ago, Wee Bully said:

Not sure why they would fold.

If this is a personal action by Cherry, presumably it is a contractual question (might be delictial).  What is her “loss” - a few hundred quid?

I was thinking more about them morally folding and reinstating JC rather than going bust.

But hey, it's Nat Scotland.  Factionalism is to the fore and f**k the principles.  We hope for the worst all round outcome.

  16. 43 minutes ago, Trogdor said:

This happened quicker than I expected, the publicity must be dying down.

    Good on Jo Cherry.

Great to see Nat on Nat infighting as it's abundantly clear that these chancers don't have the best interests of iJock - in the round - at heart.

The increasingly fragmented Nat movement is all about which faction - from the high-minded Fergus Ewing to the lowest RA-loving Shinner - will get the chance to create New Brigadoon in their own image.

And, sadly, the DWTG's of P&B will keep voting for these charlatans in the vain hope they'll achieve their ultimate aim of ensuring a chap from Eyemouth has to cross an international border to get his messages in Berwick.

You are all being played like violins fiddles.

The monarchy should be privatised. If it was self-funded there'd be little complaint.

If you take the Crown Estates as being the Monarchy's own (and I could argue either way) then it is pretty-much self-funded.

  18. Claire Emslie - Angel City
    Erin Cuthbert - Chelsea
    Caroline Weir - Royal Madrid
    Kirsty Hanson - Villa

All scoring for their - high level - clubs this weekend.

If Pedro could sort out the defence - and his own whacky tactics - we could actually be a very decent international team.

  19. Not often I get things right re punditry but I did say Liverpool could take points off Man City and they did - with some style.  Now a two-horse race with advantage Chelsea.

I did wonder if they had the legs but 7-0 vs Everton says otherwise.

Credit to Villa, though, for their demolition of Reading.  Oor own Kirsty Hanson being in fine form and Rachel Daly having the season of her life.  This was some game for her:

I went along to Hibs v Rangers today

If I screwed up my eyes with Rangers in their orange strip I could pretend it was Meadowbank Thistle v Hibs...

Hibs defending frustrated Rangers, that seemed to be the tactic. The Hibs formation looked like 5-4-1 with Tweedie up front on her own. Rangers missed a lot of chances, there was some spectacular last minute defending, clearances off the line etc. Hibs goalie Haaland had some cracking stops too. The Gers seemed to favour close passing play, which is pleasing to watch, but often breaks down when a defender blocks the ball or makes a good tackle. Sometimes you just want a volley from the edge of the box

Hibs had a couple of chances themselves and you wondered if it was one of those games where the team with title hopes would be undone by the underdogs. Then a Dean Gibson tactical masterstroke 🙄 saw Hibs best player and main driving force, Nunn, subbed. Eventually a Rangers move saw a rare error from Haaland, failing to cut out the ball, and Lizzie Arnott had an easy tap in with ten minutes to go

Rangers were certainly the better team but probably need to score more goals which is something their title rivals don't have a problem doing

Watched it and I don't need less or greyer hair.  Haaland was brilliant, though.  You always get a different perspective from TV vs 'watching live' (for good or ill) but the PotM award from South Bucks would go to wee Xavi Maclean - the calmest player on the park.

Some week coming up with us vs Thistle (unlucky, girls) and 'Them' vs City.  8-0 at Broadwood and a dull 0-0 in Airdrie would add some spice to the last two games...

That sort of protest stuff at Callton Hill is really just soft or plastic Rupublicanism anyway. Unserious stuff.

Still, good for the culture warriors like Kincy to get his teeth into.

I loved living in Carlton Terrace - EH7 - in the late 90s/early noughties and have walked up Calton Hill via Regent Gardens many a time.  My younger two were born there.  Edinburgh is a fantastic city with a rich history and seeing the likes of Lorna Slater mouthing off without knowing much about Scotland or Edinburgh's past is, frankly, depressing.

But, to repeat myself, the less you know about Scotland the more likely you are to be a Nat.

Were you just not paying attention?

I know I've joked about The DPRS - which now seems to be coming true - but the policy in 2014 was to retain the Monarch as iScot's Head of State.  To quote from the 2013 White Paper:

    Quote

Under our proposals, we will keep our close links of family and friendship through an ongoing social union and will continue to share the Queen as head of state, as 16 Commonwealth countries already do, and we will share the pound as our currency.

You not been paying attention, Derek?  There's a surprise.

  23. I see the Republican separatists - and the two concepts now seem to be linked unlike in 2014 - had a rally in Calton Hill on Saturday:

Odd choice of location in the middle of Embra's new town - a World Heritage living aide-mémoire to Union and Empire.  Calton Hill has two major monuments.  1. to Nelson whose victory at Trafalgar was made possible by his ships having greater maneuverability thanks to the rigging and sails made in Dundee and greater firepower due to being armed with innovatory carronades made in Falkirk.  2. The monument to the Scots who died fighting with the Irish Duke of Wellington against European tyranny.

Calton Hill is basically the most British place on earth outside of Gibraltar...
