    What game was that?
  2. Any teams looking for a player?

    Looking at his username, I'd guess he's a goalkeeper [emoji23] [emoji23]
  3. Plastic not so fantastic

Scottish Junior Cup Final last season, although I have to admit it wasn't my overriding emotion.
  4. Relegation

Shame. Expected it would be, but thought there might be a chance when I saw abandoned match was 1-0 3-0 on results page.
  5. Relegation

Couldn't you just trick the league table software by changing the result of the match at Somerville (which CAR won 3-2) to 3-1 and then add the postponed match as as 1-0 Glenafton victory. I think that would get the table to reflect the status needed. Of course, it doesn't help if the same database is used for displaying the match results on other pages, although looking at them I don't think that's the case.
  6. Macron Junior Cup QFs

Probably the most even looking set of QFs for several years. It will be interesting to see how the bookies price them.

    LOL! I suppose I deserve that [emoji23]
  8. Todays scores 16/2

Much closer game at Blair Park today than the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Hurlford had the best of the opening exchanges without creating any clear cut chances. Patterson came closest for Cumnock, but failed to hit the target from close range. HT 0-0 The second half was more of the same until a Paul McKenzie drive brought out an excellent save from Semple. It looked like a goaless draw until a wayward defensive header (from Faulds???) landed at sub Mick Reilly's feet in the six yard box and he neatly slotted the ball home. Cumnock then probably had their best spell and only solid defending from the Ford and a smart save from Ally Brown kept them ahead. Hurlford were limited to breakaways, and in the final few minutes, Ryan Caddis got in behind the Nock defence and sealed the win with a clever finish. Best for Hurlford IMO were Ryan Caddis, Hodge and Fisher, while Faulds and Burns covered lots of ground for the visitors. Senna, as we know from his Pollok days, is very good going forward, but he looks out of position at full back IMHO.
  9. McBookie's Odds 16th February

As soon as I saw this I stuck a tenner on Rossvale.
  10. West Region Championship thread 2018-19

  13. Today's Scores 9th Feb

Another really good cup tie at Blair Park today. A bit more open than the first game and Hurlford scored two early goals (Taz and Caddy) before an excellent strike from McGonigle pulled one back. An OG just before and a fine Liam Caddis goal shortly after H-T put Ford up 4-1 and that should have been that. However, with about fifteen to go, Taz McKenzie was shown a second yellow for (stupidly IMO) kicking the ball away. Rossvale rallied and another two fine strikes from McGonigle (I know you don't rate him DanMan, but he was easily my MOTM) meant it was squeaky bum time for the last five minutes. I thought Ford were still worth their win, but saw enough from Vale over the two matches to think we will be playing them in the league next season. A word about the ref. I thought she was excellent over the two games up until the red card after which he just seemed to lose it. Let me be clear, I have no issues with the red card, but I thought after it he made several bizarre decisions. Strange. Anyway, good luck to Rossvale for the rest of the season.

  16. Weather 09/02

Fair enough. Sounds extreme, and obviously each situation needs to be judged on individual merit.
  17. Hearts vs Talbot. What will the bookie's odds be?

Talbot (+2) at 2/1 in the handicap betting looks the best, realistic value. Of course, you don't win as much if Talbot pull off a shock, but that would be my bet.
  18. Weather 09/02

Blair Park has taken a lot of rain and an inspection is planned for 9am tomorrow. I'm hearing that if there is more rain it will be very doubtful. As far as the wind is concerned. IMO if the players can stand up, the match should be on. Of course, it spoils the game, but as long as there are no safety issues, it shouldn't cause a postponement.
  19. Macron Junior Cup QFs

Anybody got a link to watch the draw?
  20. Changing allegiance

I speak to KP whenever our teams meet, it's not Hurlford fan's who criticise him on here.
  21. Changing allegiance

You have no idea what Hurlford position on joining the pyramid is. I assume it was you that got into a conversation at our recent league game with someone from Hurlford who didn't agree with you and based on that you think that's the club's position and you're BIASED against them? Utter nonsense. BTW the Largs Committee man within earshot didn't seem to agree with you either. Does that mean Largs are disinterested in the pyramid too? No, didn't think so.

  23. How's the grounds looking?

Have you not been following the thread. It can't be postponed until tomorrow [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  24. McBookie's Odds 26th January

Does that mean that they are legally not obliged to pay out? Shocking behaviour either way
  25. Kilwinning Rangers 18/19

I know the rules, but my understanding (although I may be wrong) is that they don't actually specify the minimum age for admission charges to apply. Therefore if the clubs agree U16s in for free that's fine. IMHO if the rules don't allow such flexibility, then they should.
