  1. Mark wood commentating on both BBC TMS and also sky sports TV. I didn't think anyone worked for both simultaneously.
  2. Another acceptable reason. None of the car windows I passed had big daft dugs hanging out them.
  3. I prefer windows down too - everyone surely does. But at >70mph that's just fucking mental behaviour.
  4. That's an understandable reason. I still think there's loads of folk that don't understand air conditioning.
  5. So many cars on the motorway and dual carriageway today with windows down. What the f**k is that about? I thought most cars had a/c 's nowadays? Do folk not know how they work?
  6. I much prefer the Blast- I never got the appeal of the Hundred at all. 20/20 works really well, so why f**k about? Just refresh it to ramp up the women's game, and keep it all together. Anyway, stokes had retired from 50 over ODI cricket. Seems like a sensible move, given her needs to focus on the test team and then cash in for the franchise events.
  7. It's threads like this and the depression thread that make p&b so much more than a football forum. It's a genuine community, and we all need as much of that in our lives as possible (no matter who we are).
  8. Tbf, St Andrews as a place is fucking reeking of entitled Toryism. Carnoustie is a fairly standard, ordinary coastal town that gets the big-time circus every once in a while.
  9. Did they? I just remember the hammerings.
  10. Can England finally lay a glove on India in the short form of the game? They're off to a steady start, 40/0 after 8
  11. I don't hate verstappen because he's the best. I liked schumi and never really had a problem with vettel or Hamilton. I just find him really whiney. That's ridiculously harsh. His statement seems to be spot on.
  12. I was asking a genuine question. I've not seen the guy play as I've not attended any games or watched the highlights. It's nice to hear someone being reasonably positive. By f**k we need it. Btw is Saturday an open day? Do we need a ticket? I've got my kids so might head through for the day if it looks good.
  13. That could work if one of those three could step out regularly into a holding role in midfield. I'm more worried by our midfield two and our attacking options (based on reports). What's happened to Murdoch? And is the boy up front offering anything? Ashford looked a really handful on the wing at the end of last season and o,daire can obviously be hit or miss. But we need a threat going forward.
  14. Is Russell getting a bit of a reputation for pushing folk off? I didn't think he pushed Perez out (looking at the steering wheel) but if Perez gave him enough space then that's what he's done.
  15. There's a balance to be found, though. You can have forward, attacking play without launching it aimlessly. I've found myself raging at sideways passing. My rage isn't at the player, but at the manager for the lack of a strategy. I wish teams works play in behind full backs and turn the defence more often. It just involves an actual plan, rather than attackers coming towards the ball all the time.
  16. F1 releasing a statement about fans being subjected to tracklist and homophobic abuse. I suppose Hamilton brought this on as well?
  17. Sorry lads, should've read the entire conversation. What an absolute f**k-up that was
  18. Ahh is that what happened. I wasn't listening to the football much yesterday but I caught those few minutes as I was trying to get the Ayr score (in penalties). That makes sense.
  19. Loads of examples? You must love winning an in internet argument. For me, it's the way he speaks to his team on the radio, and in interviews he gives. I must think he's pretty immature. But as I've said loads of times, it's now at an irrational level of hatred.
  20. There's no comparison with the Saudi ending - that's just clutching at straws. I'm no expert, but I listen to those who are, and throughout the season there were plenty of incidents that went for and against. Both teams moaned at different times but the general take from the f1 community was that some decisions went for verstappen and some went for Hamilton. Verstappen pushed the rules to the very edge, and often at times overstepped the mark. That's not my opinion, but the general view of drivers and ex-drivers. It's quite clear that the p&b massive have an unhealthy obsession with Hamilton - and taking great delight in him losing. I've got no issue with that, but don't pretend that's not what's going on. I've openly admitted my hatred of verstappen. It's pretty irrational but I think he's shown a lack of class as champion. I couldn't give a f**k about Hamilton. He's clearly done as he's not got that competitive edge this year, especially in a shit car. Russell is showing him up and that should be a sign for him to retire. Verstappen will walk the title this year as he's head and shoulders above the competition. Hopefully Ferrari can continue their improvement next year and we can see as closer fight.
