  1. Think its the 25th June in Perth, clubs only i suspect.
  2. Well done to Cumnock from all at Cumbernauld, competitive game although though score bit flattering in the end.Sorry guys but for a game of this magnitude the 3 inexperienced officials were way out of their depth and hopefully the highlights will back this up as we expect question marks over offside with 3 of the goals. No sour grapes here but the standard of officiating this year is not good enough and needs addressed. All the best to Cumnock next season back with the big boys.
  3. Massive game for Cumnock, a win and the title is theirs, anything else and its the play offs with Largs champs and the Buffs up as runners up,Although nothing at sake for Cumbernauld a point and they move up to 7th in the table plus a cup tie also to play (hopefully this Saturday)so plenty for us to play for.Expect a few Largs and Buff supporters will be there hoping for a upset and you never know in this league,we will be giving it our best shot.Looking forward to our last league game and what a game to finish with.
  4. It was Cumbernauld who requested the switch, had we not done so it would have been 4 consecutive Saturdays without a game.At the time of the request we still had a minimum of 4 games to be played.Saturday is football day and your are at a loose end when you don't play.Just happy to be getting a game this Saturday and then its Cumnock on the Wednesday which sure will attract a big crowd so looking forward to that. Not forgetting Kilwinning tonight at Guy's Meadow.
  5. Excellent performance from Cumbernauld tonight securing there Super First status for another year,a result which relegates AWR. After a tricky start where the visitors hit the bar and had one clearer off the line United dominated and two quick goals from Eeles and O'Halloran gave the home team a comfortable HT lead,a goal from Kris Irvine made it 3 and United should have added to this but some poor finishing let them down.AWR got one back after 70 minutes and to be fair never gave up and had a good spell of pressure but unfortunately no further scoring and there fate was sealed.Sorry to see AWR down as good bunch of guys on the committee and excellent set up there, sure they will be back up again challenging next season. Also nice to see David (Pollok)there videoing the game and look forward to the highlights tomorrow.Looks like United will have big say in the title race with final 2 games against Kilwinning and Cumnock.
  6. Game on ko 2pm Bar open 11am,Food available Rangers v Hibs on wide screen.
  7. Cumbernauld 3 Bellshill 3 2 down at H-T and reduced to 10 men Cumbernauld put on a tremendous second half performance,an early goal from a free kick by MacDonald was follow by a penalty with 10 mins to go which same player duly converted,David Dickson looked to have won it for the Nauld with a nice finish in the 90 minute. But in added time a free kick wide on the left was crossed into the box and somehow found its way into the United net.It honestly felt like a defeat and thus still plenty of work to be done to secure our league status for another year.
  8. Victor Meldrew - our bar is 10 yards from the side of the park!!!
  9. Shanner - fined for having no respect, not for not eating "pieces" as you put it
  10. "cook" is when we go to the trouble of MAKING a variety of pasta ie macaroni cheese, pasta bakes, chilli (I make them myself usually the night before, and my team put it all together on the day) homemade soup and hot rolls etc. Very very rarely is there something on the menu that is not hot. The refs always come up to us for something, and I agree, teams should be fined unless prior notice is given that they may have to make an early departure. CAROLINE
  11. Yet another team of sore losers departed Guys Meadow Stadium on Saturday 16th April without coming to the bar / clubhouse for the after match hospitality. Not mentioning any team names, but they were off like a Shott!! Visiting teams are ALWAYS invited to join us for a bite to eat after the match. So, ignorance no excuse. I am the bar manager at Hat-trix (CUFC), and me and my team work extremely hard every match day to ensure all CUFC and visiting supporters are looked after; it is SO demoralising when the losing visitors don't even bother to show face, and half the food we COOK - not just sandwiches - has to go in the bin. We do our best to put on a decent spread for the boys at the end of a hard match; it would only be good manners to for the visitors to put in an appearance to show their appreciation, no matter what the full time score. Maybe manners are a thing of the past??? CAROLINE Bar Manager Hat-trix Bar and Soccer Complex
