  1. Thought he was excellent once again today.
  2. Impressive again. Really encouraged by the pace of improvement in our first team, and the development structure. I'm quite sure the folly of it all will be explained to us again shortly.
  3. Really important 3 points against a good side, but the most encouraging for me is the defence looks organised now. Great game from Kilday, and what a tackle from Davidson!
  4. I've tried to take a balanced view of it considering the very real material supply chain and contractor problems UK-wide. Despite the wait, at least we have our own brand-new fit-for-purpose stadium. But it's very far from that, and that's been a series of errors and missed opportunities. It's going to take even more spend and disruption to make it suitable even for the Championship. It's the Royal Box and the mess of the west side that disgusts me.
  5. Morton v QP frozen off so went along today. Really entertaining watch, but apart from two sublime goals out of nothing for Ayr, I thought they offered very little. Perhaps a re-arranged defence, but we've all had to cope with that throughout the season, and it was the the midfield that conceded much of the possession. Even on a quiet day though Dipo is class. He doesn't waste energy does he? Thistle played some nice football and created plenty chances. Harry Milne again the standout, and a nice finish from Lawless too.
  6. Yes absolutely. I wasn't convinced initially but has surely earned his starting place. I'm not sure of his contract, but would be happy to secure him.
  7. Steelwork will be complete by Monday, then the cladding, which I guess is only a few days' work. There seems to be some brickwork still to do, and the extent of small power and comms isn't clear, but with only about two full weeks' of short days before the second to get a completion certificate, it looks a bit tight.
  8. Yes I thought we would see David Boateng. If he's not meriting a start then I can't see the point of keeping him beyond January. I would like to see some decent defensive loans in the window, we still don't look that solid at the back. Ferrie impressive again when we needed him. We weren't great, but still some attractive attacking football, if a bit unlucky. Williamson very good again, and liked the look of Connolly, but I think Bannon struggled with his role today. Montrose appear a lot better than Falkirk!
  9. Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think. As surreal as it is. Wonderful to watch. Mal Boateng is never spectacular or fancy, but just does everything so reliably and efficiently.
  10. I always thought Aidan Connolly was a great player with us. Seems to be doing well at Raith too.
  11. Assuming it can, I tried, but couldn't even log in to my own account. You may have to request access to the saved stream?: On this occasion, any Queen’s Park member or season ticket holder who cannot attend Saturday’s match can receive a complimentary stream. To do so, please contact tickets@queensparkfc.co.uk or phone the club office on 0141 632 1275. To allow arrangements to be set up, requests must be received no later than 4pm on Friday afternoon.
  12. I went along to this as a 'sort of' neutral. Plenty of good passing and movement from Thistle, and well-taken goals. I still think Dundee will win the league, but they were made to look pretty ineffective yesterday. First half at least. Dundee change the game with their substitutions though, and not for the first time. Five points between the top seven. It doesn't look like anything that can't be easily fixed (and in Harry Milne have one of the better players in the league), although I'd agree about the goalkeeper situation and the long balls. Bullied a bit and, like us, easy on the eye but maybe lack the craft of winning football games.
  13. Much better. A bit of luck with the penalty, and we did well to survive a period of pressure in the first half, but was cigars out after the third as Thistle lost all shape and composure. Encouraged with Eze and McPake showing us what they are capable of. What a baffling league this is! it may be there is nothing between the top five or six all season, and decent quality and depth of our squad could make a difference in keeping us up there.
  14. If it weren't for the fact we have passed up three successive opportunities to go top I'd consider it a well won point. Not sure we merited a win, and Arbroath didn't deserve to lose. Bar the mistake, I thought we defended well, and Eze was a lot more effective. I agree that Bannon should start again next week. Boateng is outstanding. I don't think we can keep him at our level, but worth trying. By the time everyone catches up with our games played, we could be sitting 5th, 6th or 7th, and I'm fine with that. I'm quite enjoying the Championship. Joint top after all!
  15. Yes, in addition to giving the ball away all game. A poor game on Tuesday too. He's obviously a gifted player that can change games, but maybe a position we can afford to rotate? Eze's initial challenge for that first goal was just nothing, and his heavy touch for the fourth we just won't get away with in the Championship. For the fifth though, the ball is played through to 14 (Mullin?), and Eze and Kilday are both tracking goalside of their runners. Dipo holds back, and only Eze's man (Dempsey continues the run). How do we get from the first image to the second?
  16. Maybe it's you that is over-rating QP? I'd agree we are a decent footballing side, but our defensive frailties have been evident for a while, and the return of Fox will help, but not enough. I'm now not sure it's fixable by just rotating the personnel we have, but Bannon always looks steady enough to deserve a run. As much as we were very very poor again, it was an impressive display from Ayr. Dipo a great find for this league.
  17. Looks like McPake noised him up (after falling on his arse).
  18. No highlights. Maybe an inconvenient view of the first goal given Rankin's comments?
  19. Once again McGowan is the one that stands out for me in that Dundee team. Our defensive performance still a work in progress, but encouraged by David Boateng's appearance. And some dodgy moments aside yesterday, I haven't seen much to complain about in Eze's game. I'd like a look at him paired up with Naismith though.
  20. Really don't think 2-0 reflects play, but our defence has been too ropey, and that strike has to be goal of the season.
  21. Good on Logan btw to play in his knickers. If he has the brass neck to pull it off then fair play.
  22. The Cove match report was quite amusing. Sure they could have nicked a point, but there was a huge contrast in the attacking intent, with only the score suggesting otherwise. Some of the forward play was great to watch, and it could have been a more comfortable afternoon if we weren't all aware that no lead is safe for us (the only team not yet to keep a clean sheet). I agree that our bench looks strong, and the only area I would hope to strengthen is a back-up for Ferrie.
  23. I thought he did very well to come into that and play with such composure. For me one of the stand outs in an outstanding game. Murray's pace up front is phenomenal, and he put everything into it for 90 minutes. I agree with a previous poster that his game is more than being the one that gets the goals.
