  1. We have played reasonably well the last two games albeit against two pretty rotten sides. Biggest problem is a lack of goals, but I thought, last night in particular that there was a fair degree of confidence about the performance. Will be tough but if we can put in something similar to last night then we should make a game of it.
  2. I think the new camera angle is excellent. You can actually see the pattern of play.
  3. We looked good. Or, alternatively, Cowdenbeath looked bad. Either way, we won’t get relegated, but Cowdenbeath might. Some good performances tonight and some nice football. Still don’t score enough but at least we can start looking forward to next season and some sort of normality.
  4. Positive from Tuesday was Alan Docherty’s performance. I think he will partner Muir up front. Botti did well when he came on. Hopkirk didn’t. Tapping was injured on Tuesday so I suspect he will sit this out. Don’t go into any game at the moment with any confidence but 3 points should put any lingering relegation worries to bed. If we don’t, then it is a few more weeks of fear.
  5. Hadn’t joined the dots regarding who it was that we had beat this season. That is brutal.
  6. Should have won that but the fact we didn’t is because we are not very good. Of the shots we had in the 2nd half, how many were actually on target? Docherty had a good game. Ryan Blair. Discuss.
  7. Weather looks good for postponements this week. What happens now?
  8. Let’s be honest, Spence was a, I presume, an expensive mistake. Like many in this team he was less than impressive. Although it would be fair to say he isn’t the only player Irons doesn’t seem able to get the best out of
  9. So I understand how we got to this, but my point is, which nobody has answered, is who thought 22 was a good idea and why? Given a choice of 0 games, 18 games or 27 games, who thought 22 was the best answer and WHY?
  10. So the choice was 0 games or 18. They compromised on 22. As I say, I’ve still to hear a rational explanation.
  11. It’s a farce is what we’re thinking. Still haven’t heard any rational explanation for the extra 4 games.
  12. Thought we were going to get an equaliser at the end. McGuigan missed a great chance with the header and 30 seconds later it is 3-1. Was a horrid tackle at the end that could have been a red itself. Watched it back and Little came in and barged a couple of players over. Galling it was only us that ended with 10. We may struggle to make top 4 now. Need to pull a couple of results out the bag. Tuesday would be good time to start
  13. Hopefully has a better attitude than the last player who returned to Ochilview from Camelon. Looked out of his depth last time around but I’m sure he has developed over the last few years
  14. He stood out as being particularly bad. Was this normal?
  15. It doesn’t look like there will be any relegation out of the league. I am in the “void the season” camp. The whole season has been a waste of time. Start again when fans are allowed back in. Only issue I see with this is that the likes of Falkirk and Partick will be hell bent on finishing the season, but hey ho. Come back in August and let’s have a proper season.
  16. Sounds like the only logical conclusion is to call a halt to the season. Come back in August with fans.
  17. I should be disappointed to see Munro go, and excited about the prospect of a new signing, but I couldn’t care less. Never thought this would happen, but I am so disillusioned with football that I don’t care. I would rather we just scrapped this season and came back when fans are allowed in.
  18. There has got to be a player moving on. McGuigan must be the favourite. Which is a shame.
  19. Our maroon probably clashes with their red and purple would be my bet.
  20. Are we sure it was abandoned because of the injury? The players seemed to be slipping a bit before the injury. I’m not convinced it wasn’t called off because of a frozen pitch. Regardless hope McCracken is ok. Was obviously a serious injury
  21. Hopkirk was injured and then had coronavirus. Odd that we would sign a striker unless someone is moving out?
  22. It was a typical Stenhousemuir performance. Going 2 up but never quite believing that it will be enough against the worst team in the league. We were in a similar position against them last season when 2-1 up they got a late equaliser. History almost repeated. Over the 90 minutes we were the better team, and in that first half I found myself contemplating whether Brechin were actually worse than Albion Rovers. Based on the first half they were. We should have been further ahead. Second half was a more even affair and certainly after the first goal went in it was quite uncomfortable especially the last 5 minutes. The space on our left was quite alarming. Presumably someone who knows more about how to set up a professional football team will have taken note. Still finding myself seriously ambivalent about this season and I am ashamed to say, my own team. Would be stretching it to say I don’t care, but it just doesn’t feel real, peering at a computer screen, “supporting” players who I don’t even know or recognise. Just want to survive this season in more ways than one and hopefully return with the same passion next season.
  23. I’m assuming tiffoney and little will be ruled out because of COVID.
