I wasnt having a go at the Csli. Apart from the top 3 possibly in the Central I would say the Calie is a stronger league overall through both Divisions. It would just be interesting for St Jos to give their thoughts.

I would like to know St Jos reasons for why they applied to Calie. Great addition if the Clubs vote them in.

Great result for Thorn today in an emphatic win against Goldenhill.

Good performance from the Select tonight with a 1-1 draw v Lowland League Cumbernauld Colts. Never counted them but must have changed almost the full team including the keepers at half time. 2nd half probably slightly better performance although take nothing away from 1st half which was very decent too. Sometimes full team changes can go against you but tonight it went well.

When was the last time ANY League Select played their strongest team possible, NEVER. Facts are the best Select team, in your opinion, has won sfa in recent times when up against the other leagues in Scotland.

On the face of it looking like Dumbartons league, not sure who can touch them this season. Im going to take in the Scottish Cup tie St Pats v Doune tomorrow, should be a good one. Hopefully on now this week as St Pats keeper is back from the Stag doo and their not playing on a park they knew they were calling off.[emoji12]

Bollocks. Dont know where the, "running round cones..." comes from. Loads of Coaches who have played football at differing levels involved in Youth Football predominantly through their kids. If youre suggesting you can only coach if youve been professional then you would have even less teams. There might be a variety of reasons for the problems but to lump it all on the guys who give up hours of their own time and money to Coach kids is nonsense.

Good point. But Committees at some of these clubs must take their fair share of the blame. They are happy to ride the wave of success when the money men appear and buy trophies. Everyone in amateur football knows the clubs that bought success and when the cheats move on or decide they got what they wanted out of it the players have no interest in staying. They just move on to their next wage packet elsewhere leaving a skeleton of a club. Afraid ive no sympathy.
