  1. Fearmongers?? Possibly realistic. No one knows but its reasonable to suggest its once a vaccine or treatment is discovered as we have been told lockdown will be relaxed but social distancing remain.
  2. 100% agree with timescale unfortunately
  3. Or shirked responsibility. Better a boss that can make a decision, even when sometimes wrong, than one that cant make a decision.
  4. I suppose that says it all [emoji19]
  5. This is what was put up; To the teams who tried and failed heres another wee pic (of the league shield) for use. Better luck next year (to the ones still running) 4 in a row [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471][emoji471] https://t.co/apJhJKJ3q3 Theres other tweets about "no one likes us" is that a thing about Sandys? Going by their twitter posts kind of understand why few would like them
  6. It might just be me, or it could have been a joke, but I thought the Sandy tweet about winning the league lacked class. You win, enjoy it, celebrate it, but the tweet was poor imho
  7. One of the reasons I think people need to just let last season go. It was explsined to me that if they play cup games you csnt play new players who played for another team last season snd you cant pkay players who have moved on, signed with other teams. Bit of a farce tbh. I get its a dissapointment to have reached a semi final.
  8. Im hearing that the Central Scottish are going to finish the season whenever we get back to playing? Also going to 2 Divisions.
  9. Or......the wives/girlfriends came to a realisation that guys being home more often is not the utopia they thought it would be [emoji2]
  10. I didn't know that but if the Govts are saying social distancing remains until a vaccine then you cant play football and still have 2m social distancing rules. That means no football until at least 2021?? Horrendous. That said why would loads of teams fold. They've nothing to pay for if no football on. Why would leagues fold?
  11. Not got a clue tbh. Is there something you know that would enlighten us.......
  12. Don't often see eye to eye with you auld yin but it has merits. My suggestion of merging Caley & Central imho was to make it more straightforward if the 2 leagues would put their heads together. Thereafter you could regionalise it and have promotions from the regions, IF the teams in the top positions wanted to progress.
  13. With Oban going to Central and St Jos to Caley i think both these leagues have arguably the best teams in the west central belt in their leagues. It would be great if they joined (West of Scotland Amateur League) it would instantly create the league in that area where all the best teams competed together. Would be fantastic. SAFL & GGPL could feed into this and would be good for them as ambitious clubs wanting to progress would need to win their Premier Leagues to get into WoS Am.
  14. Agreed. Its a stupid situation where leagues may null and void a season (which most seem to be doing,) and players move clubs. Then they start playing the Scottish Cup etc with different players. A decision should be made by the SAFA that all leagues follow so that its done the same across yhe board.
  15. I get what you're saying about no rush but common sense tells us that when the EARLIEST games can start is mid to end of July everyone knows theres no way you can feasibly finish this season (lot of parks wont even be open then) and have a full 2020/21 season. The alternative is to squeeze in 3 games a week to finish this season and then do the same to get in next season or cancel cups etc. Most ive spoken to just want to see the back of this season and try and have a full season whenever guys can get back playing.
  16. If you look at the various leagues SAFL, GGPL, Caledonian and Central some teams haven't even played 50% of games. IF they start back in August theg would need to play until about October without ant any games off to finish. Then how do you play the next season. Huryy up, make a decision that is blindingly obvious to everyone and announce new season will start WHENEVER games can be played. Turning into an absolute shambles of dithering
  17. Got to wonder whats taking the majority of leagues from saying what is happening with 2019/20 season?? Theres NO football until mid/end July and SPFL saying mid August. Make a decision surely
  18. I cant see the point in trying to squeeze the last 3 months of a season into the first bit of next season then squeeze next season into whatever is left. Surely if they're talking no football until mid July at earliest the common sense thing is to start 2020/21 then? Dissapointing for teams who were top of league or in promotion but its not exactly normal times.
  19. Was never going to happen anyway, whenever football started back.
  20. All talk and no action im afraid. Guys like to moan about everything but when you ask them to get off their arse and do something about it themselves theyre too "busy" for that. Its always someone else who doesnt have a clue thats the problem.
  21. Why dont you put yourself forward to replace the "dinosaurs" and make the changes?
  22. Agreed, but the problem is a significant number of your team will be on holiday and wont be able to train or play. Anyone who says the holidays wouldnt decimate squads is living in cloud cuckoo land.
