Nah, not having that. At no point have we been the complete package but that's not the same as saying we havent had brilliant games.
We've probably seen some of the best attacking play from a Rovers team in a very long time. The fact we haven't defended leads very well is a feature, not a bug of the system. We swashbuckled our way into a good position, and you do it once - it's a fluke. Do it ten times and it's a product of superior fitness and gameplan.
We obviously should be looking to rebalance a bit in the Summer, regardless of league but to turn your nose up at some of the attacking moves that have picked apart more than one side in this league is daft, in my opinion.
Having a defence that can't stop leeking goals is without doubt a bug in the system.

I’d like to see a back line of
McGill Murray Watson Dick
Brown moved forward with Matthews, Turner and Stanton. I’d also switch Connolly and Mullin. Connollys lack of a right foot is so predictable for the LB he’s up against and doesn’t have the overlap of Millen to help him out.
We need to sort that back line out for next season. We cannot have a third year in a row of this…it’s a bit embarrassing that we’ve played a midfielder in there all year.
Showed Airdrie far too much respect in the first half and we should’ve got at them. Zero press and they walked into our half with no pressure. Trying to win the league and we try play some counter attacking nonsense at home…where were those tactics away at DU?
Better second half but the damage was done.
Mcgill isn't a natural fullback either.

Let’s hope we have eyes on Callum Ferrie next season
Away and smoke another doobie . We signed a keeper on a 3 year contract. There is not a heck we will sign him.

Do we actually have a defensive midfielder on the park or are they just absolutely clueless

Your average punter is surely more easily able to make a decision in the boozer to buy a ticket online, via their phone, & go to the game?
Digital ticketing isn’t some scourge on the game that’s seeing clubs lose out on money left, right & centre on match days.
If I was to ask my dad to buy a ticket online, I'd be as well asking my dog to do it as he wouldn't have a scooby.

Looked like a rugby pitch. Maybe that’s what McBeth was thinking too….
Who else is playing on it at the minute? They don’t play rugby on it any more, do they?
But that's the type of pitch the SpfL premiership are insisting on having for the top league.

I'd disagree and say "our goalkeeping coach" will not resolve it. He was just as bad in his day.

We missed 3 or 4 absolute sitters. Can't complain about that absolute screamer winning the game.
Imagine how good that game would have been on grass though...
It would have been shite, probably a mud bath.

Ayr, Arbroath and QP are the best of the three there.
Queens park, are you on drugs. It's probably the worst ground in the league to watch football. Unless your the lucky ones to actually see lesser hampden.

Bored at work so been on Transfermarket. It seems that there are a few players without clubs. One notee is John Frederiksen. Released by Armden or whatever they are called - they signed him after we released him. Not much of a helicopter after all.
Anyway, as we still need defenders, thought I would have a look at what are available on a free, seeing as we only have that option or loanees from the Premiershit.
Richard Tait RB 34 Was St Mirren. Been at Motherwell, and bounced about lower leagues in England.
Jake Carroll LB 32 Irish, Motherwell and lower league England
Matt Penney LB 25 English, was Ipswich, previously MotherwellDarren Brownlie CH 29 was Dundalk, formerly Partick and QOS
Never heard of any of them, but might be short termers till the end of the season as they all are looking for clubs...... Anybody any insights into them?I would worry that out of contract players will take a month or so to get anywhere close to match fitness.

My reservation with Hannah is we would be throwing him into a very pressurised and possibly toxic situation. If we were paddling along woth 5 games to go nothing to play for then I would be tempted. As it is he's a very raw unexperienced player and this would do him more harm than good.
If your opinion is the same as that of the manager then let the guy go out on loan. We aren't going to have 5 or so games with nothing to play for.

We currently have played 32 competitive matches. We have 7 clean sheets. The 3 against the pars. One against a, lowland league team we struggled against and an Irish mob. Inverness and Utd. We are lucky pars have been garbage or that would look a shocking set of statistics if not already.

High time you took over from Thomson then, if your that good a coach , I've seen some amount of keepers grace Starks over the years and not many have dominated their area
If your being coached by someone who couldn't do it either it's not idea.

Out of these three games, this was the one I would have been least upset about losing. The game against ICT is in the league so need to get things back on track there. The Airdrie game, not so much for the cup, but losing to them again could play into the next league game against them mentally.
Hopefully we go with the idea of actual defenders playing in their proper positions next week. I get Murray’s idea about wanting his forward thinking players on the pitch and it was working when earlier in the season. The defence was still making mistakes but the attackers were bailing them out. Now we’re not taking our chances as much so we need the defence to bail the attackers out, but there is no defence to do that.
Can understand the thought process of not playing Watson and Murray today though, the league is the important thing so an extra week of recovery is probably better for them.
I'm sorry but appart from the first 20 minutes we never looked like scoring. Smith with a free header in the Bix decides for what ever reason to try a cushioned header to Vaughan instead of heading for goal himself was baffling.

Anyone know if the car park at the ground is open for fans?
There is the multi story for the Designer Outlet nearby however I feel it will be nightmare to find a space.
I usually park on the road at St Margarets academy and walk down the Glen.

Decent. Excited to get the Fife Pound.
I can see us winning 4-1, I can see us losing 4-1. Only guarantee is that Jack Hamilton will score, after being pish here for 5 years.
It's fine with the Fife pound your halfwit manager can stop moaning every week about his budget. The guy is even saying it again today.

That starting line up looked like a basic 442 that we haven't played in a while. Scott Brown doesn't have the pace for a 3 player midfield. He was though the only one making moves at throw inns and trying to drive us on. The rest were static. Byrne for me today was like a player missing. This was screaming for a back 3 and two wingers. We began to threaten (slightly) when Connolly and Hamilton came on. Up until then the ball was either stopping in midfield as we had no width or the keeper having to kick long as Airdrie pushed up on the defence. Easton was also a passanger today, hardly in the game but seemed to be continually pushed out wide in the first half. I hope in the challange Cup game that every player on the bench today gets 90 minutes. If O'Reilly is allowed to leave in January unless it's a move to a higher club imo the Manager needs his head looked at. On a positive note McNeil didn't do his chances any harm and never put a foot wrong.

Grow up.
Really really. At half time against 10 men would you expect t your team at Home to lose 3 goals in 45 minutes. Really get a grip no you wouldn't.

I'm sorry but as a Raith fan if you think this is anything than a disgrace then look again. Losing 3 goals against ten men. Ian Murray needs to take a long hard look at himself.

I take it the cladding of the main stand is a safety thing as I really see no point in spending money to gave it done for no benefit. Ah forgot a big advertising screen. For me it's a waste of money.
