Think I'm the only one who doesn't want Rab Douglas. Nothing against the man and sure he wouldn't let us down but would prefer an up and coming goalkeeper. Seen Grant Adam a few times for the Scottish under 21's and always seemed quite decent. Would be happy with that signing,

I think Black would be an able replacement at div 1 level but not a first team regular. Much rather we had kept him and sent him somewhere on a season long loan. Hopefully he doesn't resent the club for the future.

If Willie Mclaren screwed the nut I would have him back in a heartbeat. Great winger who actually beat men. Him and Danny as our two wingers would be excited.

Michell and Holt can easily play as wing backs but doesn't fit in with how he likes to play with wingers.

McKenna could comfortably play a role for any club outside of Celtic, he is everywhere and passes the ball much better than two years ago. Barring the shocking decision by referee at Killie in the cup he had a relatively good disciplinary record. Once Tidser and Bachirou replace Xavi and Iniesta I'm sure you would love McKenna in there.

Now the news is confirmed it has me actually worrying about this season. Most of the players are here because of Alan and how many will play with the same passion under a new regime. Absolutely gutted that he has gone so quickly, but thanks for the magic moments. All the best.

Best shot stopper I have ever seen, if he hadnt had some shocking injuries he would be well on his way to 100 scottish caps and be playing Epl football everyweek for a team in Europe. There's next to no chance of us ever getting a player of his quality in what should be his prime. Is it his knees giving him his problems ?

Things sounding a bit more positive on the manager front at last. I am praying we don't sign Hutton for keeper, terrible with crosses and prone to odd crazy howler. Before I get shot down will explain, most if not all keepers have made a mistake that makes them look stupid but Hutton tried to take on a striker in his own 6 yard box in a cup final. Add to that his topped clearance against Airdrie in the Scottish cup is enough for me to have some sleepless nights if he resigns. Surely there are some better options available.

Once every two weeks is hardly a commute, or am I wrong in thinking that. We train in Glasgow and he has to only travel to Dumfries for home games and the odd other situation ?

Hardest POTY ever I would imagine, Nicky Clark for me for Player of the year and Durnan for young player. Goal of the season for me would be paton at Brechin his 2nd goal or Danny at Ayr left foot top bag.

Someone earlier saying sign them up, realistically who can we keep ? I think Robinson,Mitchell,guff,Durnan,Higgins,Holt,Paton,Reilly, McKenna,Young and Burnsy won't take too much convincing. Willie will likely be kept on but think we will have a massive task trying to convince Nicky and Danny to stay. Lyle not sure what will happen and I have already heard Smith is off. Fitzpatrick looked better yesterday but silly challenge for the pen.

Wotherspoon down south is a very average championship player at best. If Nicky Clark is in a team with good service like this season he will score 20+ at most levels. What I think quite a few people forget is this is his first full season as an out and out striker and is still only 21 when this season ends.

Sloop is this Wotherspoon the right midfielder with about 4 goals to his name this season ? Jon Daly 30 year old cart horse that Durnan and Higgins had in their hip pocket that night ? It would annoy me if he went to Newco as someone stated he would probably only be required for two years as they will be splashing more money about when they get back to SPL.
