  1. That's a bold shout George considering our park is more suited to Clydesdales than whippets.
  2. Lindsay Hoyle further corroding public trust in the political system.
  3. This is all assuming that the board is making the decisions here. I'll hazard that no-one farts without permission of the main man.
  4. I find it mildly remarkable that the only major Scottish party leader educated at a state school is the Tory. Trust no-one people.
  5. Why should fans be sympathetic here ? It's not the supporters who have taken DFC to their current state. There's not one part of the club functioning properly right now, whose fault is that ?
  6. You are not wrong, but you may be too generous with your timescale, it could be as soon as next season. Here's a link which covers the situation. https://www.pressreader.com/uk/scottish-daily-mail/20240118/282540138195021
  7. Boycotting and protesting would only make the local board retreat further into their bunker. Farrell is on a contract to the end of next season so he's not going anywhere willingly. It's an awful situation and it may take a failure to finish in the top four for anything to happen.
  8. You generally find that it's the same folk who get totally carried away when things are going well that resort to venom when things turn to shit. And they are in a minority - the rest of us are a bit more balanced. And whilst I agree with you on personal abuse being out of order, the Manager's constant upbeat assessments are simply treating supporters as idiots. Time for both to stop.
  9. Fortunately we have another Ryan on the way back.
  10. I'm convinced he extended his own contract. Based on barely one win in three surely no Board would believe it would all suddenly come good. Holy shit man.
  11. Half decent enough to have silverware on his CV.
  12. Our owners are huge Dumbarton fans so I imagine they will be unhappy at missing out last night.
  13. This must be one of the few times in our history that every one of the the major boxes - club ownership, Boardroom, finances, team management, team performances and state of the pitch - is simultaneously marked 'not fit for purpose'.
  14. Well, we can't say the Bully Wee aren't going down without a fight... just not during the actual games.
  15. Because it's another 'Display But Not Pay' deal ?
  16. There are real fans and real fannies - take your pick. As for Farrell, he's ripping the pish but fair play to him for extending his own contract.
  17. Why was there no hospitality yesterday ? Was all the cottage pie used up at the Rangers game ?
  18. Stenny played a blinder in replacing Swift with Naismith. Peterhead replaced their manager, ditto Clyde and East Fife. Only at Dumbarton is continued mediocrity rewarded. It stinks.
  19. No, as has been pointed out a dozen times the outrageous behaviour was extending a manager's contract when it was already clear that the wheels were coming off. Add that to the failures that went before and it makes even less sense.
  20. I think the home crowds until the playoffs might amount to the same thing.
  21. The key passage here is the necessity for a housing development to 'pump-prime' any investment in the football club. Just why is that ? Is it because Cognitive Capital don't actually have a pot to piss in and have probably financed the takeover with loans, and they are primarily intent on using the Rock site to turn a profit ?
  22. 10/10 for that wonderfully ambiguous headline Jan.
  23. Serious question - does any Sons fan think that Stevie Farrell won't be here next season ? He'll decide when he goes.
