  1. Anyone else surprised that the game at East Kilbride is going ahead tomorrow night ?
  2. I doubt many would seek a refund, but a sizeable percentage may not renew.
  3. Thanks for that, but I was asking in case the season is extended maybe to June and that could create a number of problems - contracts, wages, etc.,
  4. When is the UK furlough scheme due to finish ? Is it the case that if it ends then it would be up to clubs to then find the player's wages ?
  5. Many people are very nervous right now, and they don't all live in Northern Ireland. In the event of No Deal I think there's a strong possibility of civil unrest on the UK mainland if supplies are badly affected and food and medicines run low - only tonight we've had a warning about shortages of flu vaccine. It wouldn't take much for a mob mentality to take hold and the police and military wouldn't be able to contain it. The Tories (and everyon else) will soon give a f**k in that event.
  6. Dunno about Michael, but I think Matthew is still with us, currently injured.
  7. 3.14pm; Peterhead 81% v Dumbarton 19% possession. Could be a long afternoon.
  8. This is the first time ever I genuinely fear a double-figure hiding.
  9. If we were a dog we'd be put down. A truly terrible time to be a Dumbarton fan.
  10. It gives me no pleasure whatsoever, but based on the current squad and what we've witnessed thus far I'd say the likelihood of going straight down or losing the play-off is 8/13 territory.
  11. Please do not forget Dr Gerald Edwards of Glasgow, Dennis Forbes Grattan of Aberdeen and the redoubtable Alexander McKay of Edinburgh. The spooky thing about these people of the Kilt Right is that although their bile features regularly, it can only represent a fraction of their obsessive output. Fair play to their stamina, especially considering they all walk on their knees.
  12. We don't to my knowledge have a Commercial Manager and that means you have no dedicated focus on sponsorship, merchandise, hospitality and match pricing/inducements. It is a gaping hole and I wonder how many of our rivals have such a role in place. In this day and age anything other than a professional approach, like banners, etc , is tinkering around the edges.
  13. Alistair Jack, a guy who's not even a household name in his own house being bigged up.
  14. I wasn't there last night for precisely the reasons you mention - 36 quid in seven days to watch one-way traffic was not on. As regards the league it's quite simple; as the squad stands the margins of defeat will be less but the defeats will soon mount up. IMO the current team needs at least 4 additions pronto to just compete. I'd be totally horrified if the squad we have has exhausted Duffy's budget.
  15. I really cannot believe this. We've just conceded 10 goals in two games (4 in 12 minutes yesterday), and it could easily have been double that total, yet folk are obsessing about strips FFS ! Why don't we instead question the logic of a club on a very limited budget presumably paying a decent whack to a very experienced Manager, which presumably (again) leaves that very limited budget minus that decent whack to build a team, with the evidence clear for all to see. Is it just me or am I missing something here ?
  16. That semi-colon should have been a simple comma, but sincere thanks for your expert analysis chief.
  17. Richard Tice, pot ugly lover of the very unlovable Isabel Oakeshit ?
  18. Zara surely has something which took him to Tannadice, but it may take a couple of games to properly assess him. Hutton on the other hand has had more than enough games and IMO should have been let go. Still, a win's a win and all that.
  19. How are you so sure these are mannequins ?
  20. I've now read that six times and it still doesn't make sense.
  21. Aye, fine and well, so to comprehensively go on to blow all that really does mark you out as titan, but maybe minus the 'an'. One of Blair's lesser achievements was to forfeit my lifelong Labour vote thanks to a four-letter word called Iraq. f**k him.
  22. Tonight he looked like a Poundland Ben Gordon - we must hope he forms a partnership with McMillan. As for the rest of the team, well on tonight's evidence keep your expectations low. If there is no one else on the horizon we'll need some inspired loans, that's for sure.
