Maybe the people in the trust who made the decision are better informed and know more about what actually happened than all the people speculating here

It's no surprise you are getting red dots.  Some people are enjoying the witch hunt too much to even consider that they might not have the full picture.

Because a very good source told me the player didn’t accept the apology. No one is obliged to believe that, but I will.

I’m not comparing the incidents, I’m comparing the Trusts reaction to both incidents. The Trust decided to release a public statement condeming personal abuse agaist Stevie Farrell (which I absolutely condemn) but when it comes to a supporter receiving a nationwide stadium ban for abusing a player the Trust double down and back him up. That’s not whataboutery my friend, that is cold hard facts.

I am absolutely convinced if it wasn’t a supporter who’s family holds such an influence then they wouldn’t be afforded these excuses for their behaviour.

Thanks for your reply.  It's quite revealing.

I’m also led to believe the player who was on the receiving end refused the apology.

I think the Trust have made an error of judgement here tbqhwy and I’m rather shocked at a lot of the whataboutery stemming from this incident. I understand that volunteer board members aren’t easy to come by, but quite how the Trust can retain someone who is serving a year long, nationwide stadium ban is absolutely beyond me. Would all supporters be afforded this sort of leeway? I’m not convinced they would, especially after the Trusts statement following the Clyde game.

How exactly do you know that, and who led you to believe it ?

You then go on to claim whataboutery and immediately compare the Methil incident with the Hamilton one, when the two are not comparable.

The boolin club is the far superior option over any of the boozers in the town IMO. They show any football that is on and will no doubt have The Masters on one of the TVs as well. The Waverley is a decent enough pub but it’s a bit of a walk as it’s situated nearer to Levengrove Park.

A few pints in the bowling club followed by a pint and a Richard Gough just before kick off in the stadium bar would be my recommendation.

I'd second this. The Rock is a cracking wee club and the Bully Wee fans will be made most welcome.

What a strange and overly-convoluted decision. Looks like we're just making it up as we go along.

I feel like we're none the wiser as to whether this alleged incident actually happened in the way that was described in press reports. Surely if it did, the zero-tolerance approach they keep harping on about would have meant a forever ban and police action?

You could have hit on something there, but who knows.

An absolutely bizarre take from Farrell and I have no idea why he’s chosen to single out two of our better players for criticism. It’s not like either of them had a bad first half. He says some really weird things at times.

It's a form of trolling.  He knows these players are very popular with the fans and criticism of them is his way of showing that he's the boss.  It's happened before, Craig Britain's popularity got right up Chapman's humph to the extent that the wee man left under a bit of a cloud.

The club may still be conducting their own investigation?

I'd think they probably are, but having contacted the police I think they should now follow through on that initial statement.

Absolutely correct Mr Parr. All this back and forth about stadiums means absolutely nothing when your arse piece is still rid raw from parting your cheeks for B team cash.

Didn't we part our cheeks for ground rental by Rangers B ?

I think that's just people looking for stuff to be annoyed about. Nothing we've said there is wrong, although I didn't expect us to give as much away as we have done in that article.

An unfortunate misunderstanding might not be what the police or the club reach in their conclusion. We can all agree it's a cluster f**k and shouldn't have happened.

The club and the police should be basing their outcome on no more and and no less than what actually happened.  There should be no attempt to reflect any perceived 'public mood' or to placate keyboard warriors or to link this incident to the recent statement by the Board of Hibs FC, for example.

After seeing the Twitter post with who shouted it and what was  shouted I’m very shocked at who it is. Very disgusting comment aswell

Be very careful there.  Are you certain the comment was shouted or was it a comment made to people in the immediate company which was picked up by someone within earshot ?  I wasn't there and I'm no lawyer but that may be something the police will consider.

as it stands we are still in prime spot for play offs and six points clear of rivals. the manager and players are up for the fight shame the so called fans on here arent. the destructive negativity doesnt help anybody!! stick to supporting the team instead of your worthless criticism and thinking you know best. if u call yourself a true sons fan then put your money where your mouth is.

Four semi-literate posts in almost ten years on this site tells us just how committed you are to DFC.  And where loyalty is concerned, it's absolutely fine except when it becomes blind loyalty - that's dangerous.  Face facts pal.
