  1. You have no idea what you're talking about
  2. They do but the ones who complain about rugby irritate me because it's one of the most inclusive sports there is, for fans
  3. When people who were bad at sports at school complain about rugby. I can't sing but I appreciate there are people who can and they sing badly written songs imo
  4. Sometimes electrical appliances in the kitchen are on a circruit and connect via a power point and require the expertise of an electrician. God bless
  5. Largely unimpressed by Zero Dark Thirty contrary to widely held opinion. It was incredibly ponderous imo and the sight of people being tortured didn't endear me to it. I think the move towards making the woman the central character added to the exploitative nature of the venture. I really hated Hurt Locker but this was plausible and well acted but waaaay too long. However, like I say there will be a lot of people who will like it. I really don't know why. The other thing was it was so empty. I knew the ending as did everyone going in. Where's the tension? Nah. Major letdown To the poster who red dotted me, you really are a big wain. Somebody disagrees.......ohhh baaad can't accept that
  6. SS last post was full of it so he deleted it. His youtube link is off topic and tedious; like most of his troll drivel
  7. CS Lewis theology books are far superior to the fantasy novels he wrote. They are however allegorical for this Christian beliefs but his arguments are brilliantly thought out and clear and they stay with you
  8. The Problem of Pain - CS Lewis. Lewis was a brilliant theologian and the discussion of suffering being permitted by God is treated from his own previously held Atheist view and the monotheistic argument. Orthodoxy - GK Chesterton The greatest theology book of all time imo. Chesterton compares Christian philosophy with others and it is brilliantly written.
  9. Diet Irn Bru. Asda did a deal (3 two litre bottles for 3 quid). Jack Daniels (Sour Mash) around 10 to watch the fitba highlights
  10. Positive thinking works if your mind is clear enough to think. Having dealt with elderly people who have had breakdowns, there is medical intervention required when the mind is sick. If you can clear your head, you are not clinically depressed
  11. I agree. Temperance and enjoying nature are a superb way of appreciating the World. I went hill walking in Sheriffmuir recently and had a hip flask and some Glenfiddich. I had enough to keep me warm and give me a glow but getting drunk is disgusting and dangerous in that context. Well said Henry
  12. Bushmills do some really nice single malts but overall I've got to say Scottish whiskeys are the best. Anyone recommend a good yin?
  13. Different shapes and sizes can masquerade as diamonds and rust
  14. Nah you're alright. You just keep posting. Realise though that superficial cynicism ruins you mate. Think deeper and enjoy life more. You're ok by the way; a good guy
  15. I blame Sodje and his refusal to apologise

  16. It's good but I strongly recommend Winter's Bone. It has a female heroine but is far more compelling
  17. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: Overlong but still an engaging and moving fantasy adaption of F Scott Fitzgerald's short story. Blanchett and Pitt are both excellent and the conclusion is heartbreakingly sad. 6.5/10
  18. I do but no one is perfect as human nature is flawed but within the confines of preference, I hate swearing. I also find you a bit creepy. Sorry about that
  19. Depending on how serious it is and you can tell yourself, the GP is the first point of contact. Those resources are good for mild depression but if it's your's medical treatment is vital
  20. I don't suffer from it but I have known people who have. Your's being related to probably horrific experiences will be more difficult but I hope you get through this. It is good that you and sufferers like PA can discuss and empathise It is a pity you can't see the red dots. Your post earlier was a bit idiotic, in fact you come across as a total c**t. Hope you can read this
  21. Inbred: Low budget British horror/black comedy. Appalling script and direction. Not even bad enough to be good. -8/10
