  1. So far we have seen posted Hopkin is an anti-vaxer Hopkin is ugly Someone hoping Hopkin gets Covid Potential mastermind behind 9/11 There is plenty ammunition to go after him for his performance without dipping this low.
  2. No but I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to get Moffat, Not getting a game, potential match winner, worked with him before.....Maybe Particks version of signing Kris Doolan
  3. Yes and No, gives us time to get a midfielder in but also gives Hopkin more time and excuses (not that I think Smith would pull the trigger if we lose) We were told there was a plan B and C for players coming in but it’s gone quiet on that front since then.
  4. Managers with philosophy’s on football almost always go tits up, I can’t think of any who have been a success. Caldwell at Partick Cathro at Hearts Kerr and McCardle at Ayr At least Hopkin hasn’t had them running up sand dunes in the pishing rain or ballet dancing to reggae music yet.
  5. Don’t think so, I think it was only the cup games you forfeit because of the timescale anyway. We have from Now till April to play the league games. if they do a circuit breaker then it’ll be moved. If there are no more cases then they may make us play based on us having 7 players on the bench on Saturday -2 for this Saturday and that was without Paul Smith.
  6. Good that they are postponing rather than forfeiting the game. we probably wouldn’t concede 3 goals in the inevitable defeat and goal difference might be important at some point.
  7. They were also there when Dunfermline hired Peter Grant……which is even more puzzling
  8. We want to be lied to and told everything will be ok. We want a team of superstars that are always fucking injured for some reason. we want to be left thinking “if only” at the end of a season rather than thank f**k that’s over. We want a manager that thinks beyond kick off on a Saturday and doesn’t sit with his head in his hands when one of his charges makes an arse of it.Again. Then changes f**k all A manager who already knows who he wants in the next window and has already spoken to that player. A manager that can convince an overweight part-time bound forward to become a Scotland international. If the free hat and jacket fits anyone else other than McCall then they should get their CV ready
  9. There are shades of the Neil Watt era, a manager that got a surprise promotion, signed a load of former players and made a team worse. Watt had a good job out of football and realised football management wasn't for him. Hopkin has a good grounding to be a manager but his football philosophy might be suited more to part time teams where he has 2-3 seasons to get it right and signs big, fit players to bully opposition. Playing long ball football on Central park or Cliftonhill. He could have 2-3 seasons at Ayr to get it right if it looked like he was making inroads to getting it right. He doesn't look like he's making progress.
  10. Turns out you are hanging about Ayr threads at half 11 at night looking to get noticed. I noticed you, you can go to bed now knowing I think you are a tedious c**t
  11. Peter Murphy has been unspectacular at Annan over the last 5 years, that could mean he’s trying to do something that the fans recognise but doesn’t have the resources at Annan to fully execute. Or he is doing an average job but they are ok to watch both situations would be an upgrade on the current offering at Ayr
  12. I’m talking more about buying favour with the fans. Messi would struggle to get a kick in this team the way we play. Anyone doing their homework would want guarantees from Ayr before sending players on loan. Expecting results when we try to get rid of the ball immediately, trying to move the ball from back to front as quickly as possible without any defined method means we are relying on being lucky rather than good.
  13. If he signed Kelly this week, it would maybe buy him a month or so good grace. if we still didn’t improve, doubt even signing Shankland could save him
  14. Roberts contract did. I’d hope that a performance came in to Hopkins negotiations Budget x amount = this league position or above = this bonus budget x amount + additional players = this league position or above = lower bonus budget x amount + further players = this league position or above = zero bonus budget x amount + all available players = this league position or the Tin tack a run of games without a league win a point gap adrift of the play-offs all things that should be in any managers contract
  15. Thankfully Fife is fucking backwards and electricity is still a relatively new thing. otherwise we could be bottom tonight
  16. How dare you, we organised a red card protest and it worked against Gordon Daziel. That day* he was sacked** *2 years later **became assistant to Campbell money and then resigned after his sugar daddy left the club.
  17. The chairman’s interview after the appointment was bizarre in hindsight. it became less of an interview and more of a conversation about football and I just had a feeling. I was willing to give Hopkin the benefit of the doubt from day one. He then described a championship league game against Hearts as a “free hit” his interview have been few and far between but have mostly been nonsense anyway. his latest is almost like he is trying to fool himself that today wasn’t some meek attempt at winning a football match. the first Arbroath game and then the Kilmarnock game have shown he has not been able to motivate a team, the displays have shown he struggles to set a team up to play football. The chairman is a successful business man and he’ll be aware that this looks like his f**k-up, which will maybe explain why he has backed him as much. Once the window is shut, I would hope that Smith was tightening the screws on Hopkin. Assuming out form hasn’t done a full 180
  18. He was quite critical of the approach by both managers which is strange for a commentary team. Normally it’s respectful powderpuff stuff. He wasn’t vicious but it wasn’t done in a particularly respectful way. They weren’t being a “personality” like some of the other commentary teams. One of the best streaming packages.
  19. Watched the stream today, good quality, the replays were quick and the different angles were good. commentator was obviously pro-Inverness but not in an annoying way, Don’t know who the co-commentator was but he liked to give the impression he was a tactical genius. Worth the £15 rather than paying for Pixelot and having the commentator forget his mic is off for 10 minutes like last time.
