I’ll admit that my initial introduction was the Duck Sauce version, which is included in one of my cycling playlists, which then led to knowledge of the Boney M song. I only just found out about the Nighttrain song after going down a YouTube rabbit hole. It’s now been added to the “Songs about trains” thread on the Top Five subforum.

Seemingly, Sugar was determined to push ahead with it, despite numerous employees from boardroom down trying to convince him it wasn’t a starter. Millions of pounds in development and marketing, the release of a “plus” version, several sackings of naysayers and a few years later, he begrudgingly accepted it was a turkey.

I have been experiencing the torture of a kidney stone over the past 48 hours and, whilst I would love to claim to be bravely facing up to it, I actually ended up curled up in a ball on the floor, crying, shouting and swearing whilst Mrs. Nosejob was on the ‘phone to NHS 24.
