  1. That 1% Portugal is identified on closer inspection to be “between 0% - 2%”. I really should investigate if there’s any way I can use my potential 100% Scottishness to force xenophobic racists to shut the fùck up.
  2. My diverse and exotic DNA background was well worth £60 to discover. Then again, if my ancestors had been more adventurous I wouldn’t exist.
  3. Pfffft! Amateur! i put some on Sunday morning, so I’ll be fine until Thursday.
  4. Given it’s St. David’s Day, how about Joe Jordan v Wales 1977?
  5. Commentators don’t seem to understand the laws of the game. They’re baffled why the referee blew for a foul when Wellbeck played his own penalty that rebounded off the post. No one else had touched the ball. ETA Beaten to it by peasy23
  6. In my youth, we would occasionally head to Dunoon for swimming galas. One of the highlights of said trip would be stopping off at one of the local chippies that sold bottles of a concoction named “Dunsade” (sp?) made by said Dunns. Never found it for sale anywhere else and not sure exactly what flavour it was meant to be, but the novelty factor was worth it.
  7. FTFY In the two weeks between the music teacher asking me to audition for the role of Frederic and my audition taking place, my voice decided to start breaking. My rendition of “Oh here is love” warbled from tenor to baritone with an occasional bass thrown in. I didn’t get the role.
  8. Threw together a 60s playlist at the weekend for listening to in the car. Decided to include “Keep on Running” by The Spencer Davis Group, a stalwart of my, and many others’, exercise playlists. As I sang along on the school run this morning I realised it’s serious stalker material.
  9. “Alexa, set a reminder for 8 a.m. tomorrow to.....”, said immediately whilst maintaining constant eye contact with her.
  10. Willing to persevere with this, but expecting to get shot down again. Cool Jerk - Top toon from 1966, originally by The Capitols and expertly covered by the legendary Bootsy Collins. The Go-Go’s - Ground breaking all female American punk band, best known in UK for supporting The Specials, Madness and The Police on tour and for their hits, We Got the Beat and Our Lips Are Sealed. Children of a later generation would be aware of Belinda Carlisle’s solo career and Jane Wiedlin’s portrayal of Joan Of Ark in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. So I had high expectations of The Go-Go’s cover of Cool Jerk. Can they do it? Can they do it? Can they do it? Can they do it? Alas, ...
  11. I think what3words might be trolling us - “melt level decay”
  12. The fans’ meticulous deconstruction of her Instagram posts was both hilarious and a somewhat depressing portrayal of current social media culture. As you say, absolutely bonkers.
  13. Latest addition to my culinary repertoire - Mince Round (Yes, I know the joke) Bit of a soggy bottom, so might have to blind bake the base first next time. Didn’t stop Mrs. Nosejob and the kids helping me demolish it.
  14. No, because the STOP signs are eastbound at its junction with Curriehill Road. I was heading westbound and turned onto Long Dalmahoy Road from Curriehill Road, so the STOP sign didn’t apply.
  15. Was action actually taken against him because of his post on the cycling thread or was it down to his interactions elsewhere? It would be a shame if it was the former as I have him on ignore and therefore had no idea that he’d asked me a question. I assumed the subsequent questioning of his behaviour was down to his automatically red dotting posts and advised the same action I’d already taken.
  16. If you look a bit closer, you’ll see that isn’t PB’s only contribution to that thread. eta - Just seen stormzy’s post. Makes PB’s behaviour on the cycling thread trivial in comparison.
  17. Charged with “Arsehole(t) in battery”
  18. Searching for Sugar Man Investigators try to find out the truth about Sixto Rodriguez, whose early 70s albums are huge in South Africa and influenced many of the anti-apartheid artists. Rumours are he committed suicide on stage in his native America.
  19. We’ve been together over 20 years. Part of our success is her ability to see the big picture while I focus on the fine details, as exemplified by the given exchange.
  20. A prime candidate for your “Ignored Users” list.
