If Dundee were playing Aberdeen in relegation play-off, you would be desperate for Aberdeen to win - no probably about it. The banter of Aberdeen going down would be the only softener.

FWIW please give Utd a 6-0 in both legs when you play them in a couple months time x

To be honest I'd probably not be bothered and wouldn't even watch it. You carry on with your opinion though....

Well according to previous posts the 'Dundee haters' song isn't about DFC and in fact just about Dundee in general so it should be a pretty easy decision for them to support Aberdeen no?

Or maybe their only song in the book is about DFC after all..

That's like saying who you would support in an old firm final. I'd probably want Aberdeen to win but wouldn't be remotely disappointed if they got beat. It would be exact same if it were the Dees in there instead of the Arabs.

I downloaded the app on Friday, used my email address on my account, but for some reason it refuses to send me an email with a registration number (nothing in my junk either), and I can't register so can't access my tickets. Have had multiple unanswered emails, no response to a query on their twitter, and the phone has rung out around 60 times (at least 30 today) since I discovered the problem. A total shambles

Try either putting a space at the end of your email address when logging in or if it does it automatically, delete the space back to your email address. Sounds stupid but sometimes on other apps it happens.

    Absolutely this.

Here's an (updated) copy and paste of what I've posted before on this very subject -

Since 2000 there's been 31 cup finals with Rangers or Celtic vs someone else and they've been beaten twice (Hibs and Killie - well done lads). So they've won 93.6% of their finals and we've met one of them in all four of ours. Shite luck indeed.

And despite all the banana skins that we've successfully broken our neck on over the years, our recent frequency of getting to finals is actually okay. Again, since 2000 we're on 4. Comparable to similar size clubs that's decent - St Mirren with 2, , Falkirk 2, Kilmarnock 3, St Johnstone 3, Inverness 4. Dundee united are on 4 and other city clubs only marginally better - Aberdeen 6, Hearts 6 and  Hibs out in front with 8. Dundee have made 1.

M8, nobody gives a f**k about losing finalists.

With no U21 game this week, does Clarke invite Tommy Conway & Kieron Bowie into the camp (not suggesting they play) but maybe start integrating them into the set up, considering we don’t have many other options……

It's an option I'd like to see.

I agree it is a difficult draw and we are the lowest ranked side so not finishing last would be seen as being better than expected form outside.

Switzerland are ranked above Hungary though and once you remove Slobozlai the rest of the Hungary squad looks very basic. If you look at the Swiss squad it actually looks more impressive with more players playing at more top teams.

I don't know as I have not seen them but Hungary must be very well organized and are getting more than the sum of their parts.

Switzerland have good players but always look beatable to me, solid-ish and unremarkable for the 'names' they have.

Hungary are going to surprise you, they certainly can play and will need nowhere near the chances we had on Friday to score.

Germany have changed the squad again for the build up to the tournament and have some exceptional talent. Their result last night highlights this.

I never said Souttar wasn’t bad, I haven’t even seen it. I even mentioned that by all accounts he had a shocker. My comment was aimed more at the vastly wild takes I am seeing for players such as Shankland and Porteous, as the opinion of their performance seems to vary drastically dependant on what team someone supports. I’ve no idea whether they were good or bad judging by the online comments.

Shankland missed a sitter but otherwise was okay. Porteous fell asleep near the end and never closed a guy down quick enough but otherwise was okay. Not sure Ryan starts if everyone is fit but I think he deserves to be on the plane (and that's from someone who used to ridicule him while at Hibs).

Never got to see this last night but it sounds like we actually played well despite the scoreline 😂 just some calamitous defending being the difference.

It still irks though that we seem to have a rather wide issue of club allegiances dictating who finds themselves in the firing line while on international duty.

You have some folk saying Shankland played well with others saying his performance proves he isn’t international class.

Similarly you have some saying Porteous was decent and others lambasting him.

You can rarely get an objective evaluation or consensus when it comes to our team.

Souttar was calamitously bad, that's a fact no matter which side he plays for, it's a definite no from me, he just isn't good enough. Shankland was okay until he got his one on one chance, which he failed at miserably. It's ironic for him as that's what he usually excells at and why he is in the side.

I'd be more inclined to give him another chance and bin Souttar, we have other players better than John for his position, while not a lot in Shanklands.

Not the most important thing obviously, but it already annoys the shite out of me that the three Adidas stripes on our new shirt are white, while all the other trim elements (and there are a lot of them), are yellow. Grrrr, etc.

It's to match the badge of yellow and white. Which it does fabulously imo.

  10. Anyone who thinks a Group with the host country Germany and Europe's most improved side Hungary is going to be easy is fucking deluded. We're around Switzerlands level and I think we have a decent chance against them but we could quite easily get scudded in the other two. Especially if we don't have our best 11 fit and ready. Steve Clarke should be judged in how many tournaments we qualify for and if we give a decent account of ourselves when we get there. A decent account is playing well and not getting thumped by the big nations. Folk thinking ahead of this are the same types that probably thought Scotland were winning Argentina 78.

Tbf I think Hutton was right when he said it was more a lack of understanding between the players when the subs came on. We need to work on that but it’s not a terminal issue.

No, there are far to many of the squad not of an elite standard. Souttar, Ralston etc aren't good enough.

Dunno, but then why are your support the self proclaimed Dundee 'haters', if we are such an irrelevance?

It's always been Dundee the place, not the club. It doesn't make that song any less embarrassing playground shite. Quite why you and your soon to be amalgamated brothers get it misconstrued is beyond me. Dundee as a club have been a complete irrelevance to me footballing and supporter wise. If push came to shove, in my lifetime(and I'm a fairly old c**t) the regions teams have been United>Saints>Dundee. With the Saints being far closer to United footballing wise than Dundee.
