  1. I actually thought it was ok. Den of Geek site has interesting theory on the episodes so far.
  2. I'd guess an inquest would yield a lot of:- 'that's what we did in those days' It's getting to who made the key decisions.
  3. I'm unsure where to begin. Stunned at the extent of the cover up and delighted for the families that their fight has been worthwhile. I feel cautious about using words like 'truth' and 'justice' on the subject, A long time has passed, Can prosecutions take place? Can there be a full forensic run through of the day from all sides to unpick the events? Would a new series of enquiries do that? As a teenager I travelled on one of the saints supporters buses. I remember the state of grounds around the country in the late 80's. I'm too young to know about the days when you took your carry out in with you, but I certainly saw a few hairy situations when goals were scored or whatever and the feeling of being caught in a crowd surge is horrible, watching the game and then feeling the push, hoping you can hold your ground, knowing you're going and trying to stop yourself from losing your feet. It was the one bit about terracing I hated. I had some great times as a youngster going to those games, loved going to the games, the banter, the singing, the atmosphere. I wouldn't want to go back to it though. Heysel, Bradford and Hillsborough all led to Taylor and all seater modern stadia. All are horrible and terrible sacrifices to progress. Was it inevitable, had a few circumstances differed, could it have been another ground on another day if a few circumstances differed? I dunno. I know there's a movement to reintroduce limited amounts terracing of terracing on the safe standing 'German' type, I honestly don't see attraction, I'll take a seat if that's ok.
  4. Seen a stream of tweets from the official 'the rangers' feed. Certainly defending his position, so interesting stuff. Are Duff & Phelps still based at Ibrox in terms of Oldco?
  5. Use spoiler and /spoiler but place inside square brackets [ ]
  6. Sean Connery and Alex Ferguson jumped into his press conference Gloryhunters
  7. Not bad. Only significant moment was about how often the ponds were visited by the doctor
  8. Ok, it had to be seen to be fair, I don't think anyone really wants it to be discredited, some at the extremes might fit their own agendas. A financial penalty? Hmm. Not what I'd look for. The advantage is being squeaky clean, Juventus were done for it and lost titles. Financial doping through tax avoidance and breaching the registration of a part of players contracts is serious. I'd much rather see Scottish Football say this was wrong and strip the titles and see 'no winner' against the cup wins in the next wee red book. Any money in lieu of that is simply a sweetener. It's a wrong to take money in lieu as it is to dodge the tax. Personally speaking I'd rather see the record books cleaned up than having The Rangers 'Newco' paying out fines for years for the sins of the 'oldco' The Newco will at some point return to the top flight, the sooner to rancour over the antics of the old club is tied up the better for the game in Scotland.
  9. It won't come to that. Possible that there might have been a wrangle if Green hadn't got them playing again, but too much momentum behind Green now for liquidators to try to unwind.
  10. Horse has bolted on that one. The Rangers are up and running have their ST money in and have wheeled and dealed on players. The SFL decided to let them in and the SFA transferred over oldco's membership. What can BDO do? Get an interdict on Green until they get a few more quid? Id reckon the liquidator will only be able to pursue the past owners for their actions.
  11. The red dress. Had me thinking battlestar galactica's number six.
  12. Hmm. Feeling much the same. Think he's fighting to keep third.
  13. Unless he's got some utter madness planned in the mountains, can't see Froomey winning it. He'll be Kenyan again if there's no podium
  14. I'm guessing they're not buying the 'club is different/seperate to company' mantra that Green's spinning but there's no way oldco can't be resurrected can it?
  15. Not bad as Sharon. They'd have been cheaper with miss piggy. 'ooh Denny! Oink!'
  16. It's dead on right though as many folk are sheep that follow the latest 'right on' trend and don't use their minds. There's many 'mugs' wanting to buy into the Olympic winners, team sky and Wiggo. If you see the prices on the team sky web shop you'll get my point. Armstrong wouldn't have had the Live Strong brand without his yellow jersey success. His book was a fanastic tale of beating a serious illness to become a serial TdF winner. Armstrong can be admired for his tenacity in beating cancer and for popularising cycle racing in the USA, but he's still left this hanging over him. I was in awe of a commentator in America saying that the USADA was 'unamerican' in its pursuit of Armstrong. Bloody hell.
