  1. Playoffs are fine as they are. Like parliamentary democracy, it's the least bad solution.

That was a battle over the 180 minutes. Two evenly matched teams with slightly different strengths and weaknesses. It was hard to really enjoy as I was so nervous for most of it. Think our weak bench is what will kill us. Losing Adeloye and Lawless for the season really hurt our depth and (along with the close scorelines) we've not been able to rest players as much as Doolan would have liked. Raith should beat us, especially with the second leg at home, which was a big advantage for us last night I thought.

Airdrie play nice enough football, their manager seems the sort of person I wouldn't mind working under, and their squad generally has acceptable hairstyles. If you swapped their staff with some other club I'd be quite happy for them to do well, but as it is: GIRFUY.

Both excited for, and dreading, Tuesday night. 'Mon eh Jags!

  2. Not been to East Fife, though the new rail link makes it more appealing. Dumbarton's a shite stadium but simple enough to get to. Stirling is a bit of a walk, but the town itself is great and the stadium is alright with lovely views. Airdrie has no redeeming features.

No need to worry about Bonnyrigg 😄

The overall point is that if you finish in last place in the SPFL you deserve to go down, regardless of history, ground etc. I get that SPFL fans have preferred away days etc, but unfortunately for them I  think we may see more scenarios like this in the future.

Aye, we're all agreed on that. My main point is East Kilbride fans don't seem to understand why SPFL fans would rather someone else than them in the league, when everyone was happy enough to see Bonnyrigg go up (though they're all bleating about your stadium now).

Is that a new criteria in the SPFL, if you have a history and come from a historic town you can’t be relegated?

That would be very nice for Bonnyrigg.

I don't think anyone's saying Stranraer shouldn't be relegated, just that they'd rather share a league with Stranraer than East Kilbride.

  5. Do you really not understand why people wouldn't want a club in their league from a soulless town, playing in a soulless stadium, forty-five minutes walk from a train station and miles from any pubs, instead of one they've built up over a century of history playing against in the centre of a historic town?

    No, it must be jealousy.

I'd rather watch a game at Victoria Park where there is a real atmosphere than that excuse for a ground at Meadowbank.

It would have been easy for the SpeeFL to let the games go ahead then if Buckie won give them the guidance to get their

ground up to scratch before the season started. When I compare Bonnyrigg's ground with Buckie's, I wonder what the

    criteria is.

If you really do wonder what the criteria are then it's not too difficult to find out. There's plenty more to licensing than bricks and mortar though.

Nobody appears to have given a shit about it then, but it's only when women started doing the same thing that it made people really annoyed by their perceived couldn't-care-less attitude. There's definitely a double standard at play.

Is it not just as likely that people didn't give a shit about it back then because the media didn't waste time covering inane stuff like that back then?

I think it's more likely a reflection on the utter degradation of the BBC and it's ilk than it is gender attitudes.

The most ridiculous part of all of this is that we're talking about licenses etc. who cares? Just comes across like those in charge behaving like mutton dressed as lamb.

I'm sure if your club were away to Buckie and a player suffered a serious injury, you'd be ranting about how farcical it is that an SPFL club didn't have a doctor.
