  1. Those who just stand and point at potholes need to up their game a bit.

  3. Honest M'lud, we had three showers each. Think we're OK, it was about 16 years ago.
  4. An hotel in Norn Iron foolishly left the linen cupboard next to our room unlocked. Wife managed to cram 6 nice fluffy bath towels into our luggage.
  5. Supposed to be going into hospital for minor operation today (stent shoved in through keyhole). Tested positive, so sent home and told to phone in two weeks for another appointment. Came as a big surprise ' cos no symptoms and feeling fine.
  6. Might be better to get a joint one, just in case. You probably trust your sister but.... My brother -in -law set up an EPA (predecessor of LPA )with him as sole attorney for mother -in - law and registered it in 2009 without telling any other family member. About 4-5 years ago he began ripping the piss out of it and has so far helped himself to about 50 grand. Complaint to OPG resulted in them sending someone to visit mother-in-law - they assessed her as 'mentally competent' so everything is fine as far as they are concerned. In fact the OPG made it worse because now MiL thinks they assessed her because we were saying she wasn't mentally competent. In response to Dundee Hibernian - I think that PoA is a generic term and LPA denotes the specific type.
  7. He might 'spend' that but that's not what it costs him. Schools are deliberately omitted from the Charity Commision's list of registered charities for a reason.
  8. They leave public school and grow into adult bodies but never mature. My own theory, formed when I had the misfortune to live and work among products that had dropped of the end of the public school conveyorbelt, is that they are dumped on the conveyor belt almost as soon as they can walk. At a time when they should be jumping in dubs and eating worms they are forced to be mini adults. This means that they remain in childhood throughout their lives as they cannot naturally grow out of what they were never allowed to have.
  9. My prediction is that :- Truss is declared winner of the contest and on the way to her coronation she accidently falls down the stairs. Instead of her victory speech up pops Boris to heroicaly announce that he will answer his party's call in this time of great need and will humbly continue as the country's greatest ever Prime Minister. f**k knows what will happen after that, but one thing that is certain and not conjecture is that I will be bloody glad that I no longer live on that Septic Isle.
  10. No we don't, we want the most incompetent arsehole winning, I'm thinking of bigger picture If they fixit it so that it's Sunak v Truss in the last two then a lot of the members will be pissed off at being denied the chance to vote for Captain Splash. Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells may be so incensed that he is driven to write a strongly worded letter to The Times. After Truss wins it could be a good laugh (so long as the £ doesn't tank too much) for those of us who can stand on the bank and watch Admiral Liz and Captain Poppy head for the rapids as they try to navigate the skiff of state down one of England's shite filled rivers.
  11. Others have provided the words of the mysterious verse 6. In the Holy Bible and Hymnery presented to me when I was conscripted into Sunday school these same words were printed as verse 3 of hymn 293
  12. Can anyone PM a suggestion for a currently working IPTV for a MAG box? (Don't need the club channels)

  14. And there were fans from both countries who looked like 36C
  15. My new one arrived yesterday. It's a Burgandy, EU style one without the European Union stuff on it.
  16. I've not been able to find the stadium. From what I think is the clue, I've some vague recollection of it being a UEFA cup game but could be totally wrong.
  17. Think I've worked out what the clue is but can't find any reference to it that will help identify the stadium. Maybe you've seen the picture 11 times from a red perspective.
  18. I've been trying Nottingham/Carlton area because of the colour of the bus.
  19. Yep, in BG across the river and east a bit from Giurgiu. Don't expect you'll know the answer to this but :- Any idea why Wizz have increased the number of flights between Luton and Otopeni from 3 a day to 5 a day? (wife had a flight booked for end of Feb but cancelled it. Out of curiosity we looked to see if it went and noticed the number of flights had increased).
  20. About 80km away from you on the other side of the Danube. Apart from cafes, bars and restaurants being closed life is carrying on fairly normally for the vast majority of people. As of today 894 confirmed cases, 259 currently hospitalised with 36 of them in intensive care. So far 42 people have died. Not bad for a 'loser country' . (The majority of the fruit pickers are likely to be Roma for whom the government have relaxed their no foreign travel rule in the hope they will miss the flight home)
  21. Relatively quiet when we were there so it was working fine, people here are taking the distancing seriously so guy at door was having no problems except for an old couple who were adamant that they weren't going to put a coin into a trolley they weren't going to use! Full range of bog paper available.
