  1. I was pleased to see Paul Merson taking a more active role in Ford Super Sunday coverage.

Keano, Nev and Carra can generate the clickbait, but as a legacy fan, sometimes I just want to sit back and watch a top pro speaking nothing but common sense.

Just the 4 points out of 24 for Greenock Morton since this very post.

Thistle to drop more points here, thus completely hibsing the 10 point gap they had.

Youve almost bottled a 10 point cushion, facts are facts.

Point gap update: 9 points with a game in hand.

    Better luck next year chump.

  3. Cold Palmer looks to his mate at the corner flag, and he says "right lads, I've dragged us back into this game - now give me that ball and let me win us this match."

He picks up the ball, he whips it goalwards, and he says "there you go Andre - have a bit of that."

  4. Patterson had a nightmare and his confidence seemed shot after the goal, but I like his attitude. I didn't get any impression that he was trying to hide and, whilst you'd like to think that would be a given for any international player, you had Cooper and Hendry at the back playing safe, square passes time and again and shirking any responsibility.

I can remember him making goal-scoring contributions during the WC qualifiers in narrow wins against Moldova and the Faroes - matches not dissimilar to last night - which may well have been the difference between us finishing 2nd and 3rd. The raw talent is in there, but he clearly needs 50-100 games experience at even a half-decent level.

Hickey is obviously way ahead of him, but I'd far rather Patterson as his stand-in than Tony Ralston.

The original poster was me and I'm sorry that my attitude appeared judgey, I'm not that person. However it wasn't the accents and where fans were born that p'd me off, it was the choice of songs "f- the SFA", "Stick Your Independence....", "Stick Your Referendum.....", Rule Britannia", "Scotland Get Battered Everywhere They Go", "Bouncy Bouncy" that did and made me question the point.

This is a catchy number to be fair. The England game was 6 months ago but I still find myself humming this absent-mindedly in the shower or while doing dishes.

  6. With one (defensive) sub made late in the game, it's clear we weren't pushing too much to try and win. I think that makes perfect sense given the form we had going into the game - the change in shape was a defensive improvement and it would have been demoralising for the team to come away with nothing.

I'm not sure if that exact line-up is best for Queen's Park next week l, but at least Williams should keep his place. He's been long overdue a return to the team.
