  1. On his day, Brophy is our most potent threat. He continues to be unlucky with injuries, but it looks like Robinson prefers a tall strong presence up front that will earn their money running, harrassing and bullying the opposition. It's been working for him. I like Brophy. I don't know how much he's on, but from what I see on here from those ITK, it seems it's a lot. He has a lot to offer, just not to us. I wouldn't fancy playing anyone else in the league if he was leading their line. If (when) he goes, I hope it's down south or away from Scotland.
  2. If the chances that we had today fell to Brophey, we'd have been 3 up at HT. But if yer auntie had bawz and all that...
  3. I hope that you're wrong but I have the fear as well. Think we'll need at least one more this afternoon.
  4. Fancy a scrappy game. Stuck a few quid on Hearts going down to 10 men and with AG back in the starting 12 I fancy us being awarded and scoring a penalty. Perhaps big Joe from a corner. MON THE SAINTS...!
  5. Went for drinks in some shithole in Glasgow straight after the LC game in 2013. A stack of Hearts fans in the boozer and I have to say they were sound c***s, and with 20/20 hindsight I probably should have caught a bleaching. Too old to care about the '86 Albert Kidd stuff. I'd take 3 points over 2 games, and I'd rather see Hearts 3rd than Aberdeen. No crowd-wanking, just the truth. Out.
  6. I agree about your first point. I can reflect on the 4 (four) penalties we shipped at Ibrox the other season. Three of which demonstrably weren't .
  7. I've been in a surprisingly good mood these last few days, all because the Saints are due to be playing again. So it's nailled on to be postponed. If the Gods smile on us and the game is on, Motherwell to fucking batter us for 95 minutes and us to get a flukey penalty that Ayunga converts for an against the grain one nil to us. Because I think these things even themselves out over the season...
  8. Just seen the Marvin Barclay words on Twitter. Worth sticking your nose into the Twitter cesspit for a swatch. He has right go at Cosgrove.
  9. £2.5m and a 25% sell on. And that's still a fucking steal.
  10. Keanu is 18/1 for first goal scorer against Tunisia tomorrow. Might be worth a fiver...
  11. On the subject of football finances, I see that's 10m Aberdeen have lost over 2 years. THAT'S crisis territory. I'm comfortable about our finances, budgeting for 7th or not. We've been working on 11th and punching higher than that over the last few years, so I'd expect that to continue. We budget for 7th and aim for higher. We should be looking up the table, not down. We're not getting religated with this squad and current manager. Shite like Dundee and Ross County have been top 6, so why the f**k aren't we expecting that too? If one were to try and take a more strategic and balanced, look at things, instead of focusing on only the most recent information, there'd be far less worry about I think. Look at trends over the previous 5 and 10 years. We're stable, have a manager that is delivering results (In Paisley anyway), he seem to be attracting attention from International and English domestic markets so must be doing something right, crowds and season tickets sales are up and we're letting less b(h)igots in to our place. Community engagement is good and the Family stand has never been busier. We're investing in youth and the engagement for kids with the outreach groups is really good, fan engagement before the games and even the throw a ball at the panda thing are engaging the support of tommorrow into the faith. Commercially things are, anecdotally at least, going well. Our away strip has outsold last years by a factor of 10, and the club shop always seems busy. We have as good a squad as I can remember, a player (should've been two imho) at the World Cup and as many internationally recognised players in the team as ever. I can't fucking wait to get back into the football.
  12. I imagine that Greive will be so good tonight, he'll be unplayable. Match ball going home with the lad tonight.
  13. I fancy it'll be a close tight game today, Saints to edge it. But what do I know, I've just stuck a fiver on Ryan Strain to score at 20/1...
