Pyramid coming apart at the seams

I don't bother my arse with the HL most of the time but is this because most of them don't fancy traveling beyond their traditional area?

I know the Pyramid bros like to make out that nobody minds 600 mile round trips for league matches but it seems like an argument for regionalization of League 2 to me.

C'mon for generations there was zero money put into Junior grounds when compared to level of spending on players, with only a few exceptions.

100% of HL have seats and lights and was even a requirement to join I believe.  What percentage on Junior grounds upto the move to senior football had match lights and seats. 5% if I'm generous.

Buckie Thistle found wanting and making a mockery of the playoff system today though.

No, it was brought forward (with a week's notice) from 2nd December which was a washout for all fixtures.

Continuing with single leg Junior Cup semi finals would've kept two matchdays for the league but I suppose it's more important for the SJFA to make money

I don't really like the two legged semis but just using one of the umpteen other available midweek dates would have done the job I'm sure.

The Benburb game was brought forward a fortnight and only meant we had no game 2 weeks later!!

Talbot could’ve been playing midweek games much earlier.

It's mad that we weren't. 2 more midweek games earlier in the season and we'd have been fine.

I would say not one talbot fan will be at Cumbernauld on Monday night as the game is not getting played there

There will be more Talbot fans turning up at Guys Meadow in error on Monday than punters from Airdrie turned up to support Gartcairn last night.

On the subject of SFA/Govt assistance to upgrade grounds owned by clubs, I guess part of the problem has been decades of certain clubs spending big on players whilst fans piss against a wall and get rained on.   Should the taxpayer bail them out if the ground needs upgraded?

SFA Licencing has forced some clubs down the road of having to think about it, but there are grounds that are so far gone only starting afresh elsewhere would solve the issue if a club wants licenced.

The Highland League is an example of clubs investing in facilties over decades.  The Junior game never followed suit.

the junior game contained a larger variety of teams than the HL (which is basically a division) so I'm not sure it's fair to characterize this as a one-size-fits-all Juniors Bad thing.

Got to think that with calibre of player they have available ( and not had to pay for obvs ) that still flirting with relegation has got to be very disappointing. 2 games against us they've looked decent ( caveat I'm getting info on 1st game 2nd hand ). Maybe they're just playing season out.

They looked like a technically decent side who didn't really fancy mixing it. Give us another seven games where we can easily outwork the opposition like that and we'll be championees. Sadly you only get a couple of games like that a season in this league.

Think with Talbot having so many games to play in so short a space that Beith are still favourites. However this time next week we could have a champion

I can't think of any examples of us winning four games in eight days. Not every opponent will be as half arsed as Gartcairn tonight although I sincerely hope they are!

Imagine being as bleating as that in an official club post. Take a few minutes to look at what you've written before sending it.

Written by someone that's not as  capable as they think at masking their shitey attitude behind smarmy corporate language but thinks they've played a blinder.

    An absolute two bob outfit.

Out of the goodness of their heart they allowed the local ice cream man to turn a coin. A club to be proud of.

Couldn't mark their necks with a blowtorch.

I can't wait to learn of the outcome of Darvel's rigorous and thorough internal investigation.
