  1. Mostly footballers that I've met that are absolute bell ends. David Beckham & Brian McClair stand out as two of the worst. Arrogant, wanky c***s the pair of them. I did once serve a woman in a shop I worked in, thinking I recognised her as the mother of a girl I went to school with. She looked at me like I was mental when I asked how her daughter was doing. Turns out it was Rhona Martin, who had just won gold at the Winter Olympics a couple of weeks before, and that's where I had recognised her from...
  2. Can't see someone like Benitez being even remotely interested to be honest. Can't honestly think of a reasonable target that would be just now, which says it all.
  3. According to some mate, Scott Brown laughing and celebrating was a contributory factor in some ned stabbing someone else in the neck. By that justification, the physical assaults on him during the game (that would typically land someone in the cells for the weekend) is clearly a justified contributory factor in me conducting a mass genocide of Rangers fans. It's absolute whataboutery. The fact that some people are trying to say Brown laughing and celebrating is somehow a greater danger to public safety than watching players elbow and punch each other is mental. The real issue is the base mentality of absolute fuckwits who carry knives and think some random injustice they have received is an excuse to attempt to take the life of another human being.
  4. The timing is the only bit that annoys me. Always knew he would go back down south, and he was never going to get one of the top 6 jobs after Liverpool. Speaking to my mates who are rangers fans at the weekend, and they had given up on the league. This now gives them a wee shot in the arm to keep going. Absolutely gutted I don't have a ticket for Tynecastle tomorrow night for the first time in ages. Predicting a 6-5 win for Celtic, with Lennon scoring the winner himself then aeroplaneing it all round the ground, only to be scudded from behind by a kung-fu style kick to the head by Craig Levein. I honestly fucking love Scottish football. There's never a dull day compared to the pish down south for example...
  5. Only temporary until the end of the season apparently.
  6. The formatting of the tables alone should see someone taken outside and shot, never mind the utter pointlessness of the whole article.
  7. That could be a dodgy question if she's from Hawick...
  8. I feel your pain too about how contrived it all is, but the programme would be a bit shit if it was just them all sitting in the office for 25 days doing feck all, whilst intermittently switching to shots of the hunted sitting in a tent on Brecon Beacons freezing their baws off.
  9. Read "Capture or Kill" by Tom Marcus last week. Really enjoyed his first book about his life in MI6, so was looking forward to this as his first fiction piece. I read a lot of military/action/spy stuff, and this is one of the best I've ever read. Read the entire thing on the train to Aberdeen and back. Thoroughly recommend if you're into this sort of stuff.
  10. Holytown. Depressing driving through it on the way to work. "High Street" consists of a chinese takeaway and two shops.
  11. Yep, seems like the last position on the park we should be interested in.
  12. Having just watched the Sunderland documentary on Netflix about them getting relegated last season, he can get to f**k.
  13. Can you please stop being sensible and using rational thought? It only makes the Scottish Media's job even harder...
  14. Quite disappointed about Stewart being recalled. He's been great to watch in the few games I've seen. Hopefully SC can find someone to replace him and keep Killie's form going.
  15. I was worried it wouldn't be as good as the pilot when Daniela Nardini wasn't in it, but the character of Cathy has been immense. Would still like to see her return for a wee episode. As has been said, been really strong throughout, and I actually thought the other night's new episode was one of the best so far. The "Wedding Dance" scene had me in stitches!
  16. Trained at Club means they came through the Ross County youth system basically.
  17. Yeh I wondered where that was as well? Also, it was nice of them to actually mention Livingston after the highlights once they had got the following out of the way: 1. Gareth McLeary - The new Davie Weir. 2. Morelos. How 100 million isn't enough for him. 3. Villareal - Why they should lie down to the mighty Gers. 4. The complexities of pre-1920 taxation laws in Belgium 5. What they all had for their dinner last night Then "Oh, and Livingston were on the pitch too." Considering the highlights painted the picture of Livi having at very least equal amount of good chances in the game, thought they would have at least given them some more credit.
  18. Think the point quite a few folk have made about the lack of players moving from the youths to amateur is key. Played Saturday morning for a few years there, and we really struggled to get anyone under 23 to come along and play at all. In fact, there are times where the average age of the side could rival my Over 35s team on a Friday night. We tried approaching under 21 sides and letting them know we would happily take on any of the lads that didn't go to Junior/Caley/etc. but it never yielded any results.
  19. I get that sometimes people fall. I get that sometimes there are times where it is neither a penalty or a dive. But let's be honest here. There are times where someone makes a c**t of it, realises they have, and because they don't complain, they get away with it...
  20. That does my tits in no matter who has done it. Just because the guy doesn't claim for the penalty, doesn't mean he didn't dive. The fact that they realise they made an arse of it doesn't mean the intent to cheat wasn't there to begin with. Should be booked every time for it.
  21. Chelsea have so many players out on loan (Think it was in the 50s or 60s last season) that they have an entire team of staff dedicated to it. Paolo Ferreria that used to play for them years ago is a part of it IIRC, where he goes and checks on all those out on loan and tracks their progress. It's clearly a way of getting round FFP rules, whilst also stockpiling players in the hope you get 1 or 2 good ones out it.
  22. How fuckin shite does your life need to be that you would feel this is a worthwhile use of your time? What a sad act. Why doesn't he simply tell you you're a c**t directly, and get it over and done with in the time fashioned manner appropriate for P&B? Probably the sort of c**t that would burst your baw when it went in his garden because it hit his wee flowers once...
  23. There doesn't seem to be any real thought going into them though. One hand up for front post, 2 hands up for back. Not exactly detailed planning. Considering the amount of goals that scored from set pieces in football (just look at how good Livi have been at them this season) I'm amazed we don't seem to have any sort of plan for them.
  24. I used to do a game as manager of both the nation and the Serie C side. If you can bring the club up through the leagues, it makes a massive difference to the potential of the national team.
