We need to get Henry running the life out of their defence. Feeling good for us so far.

My current workplace take out the applicant's name, gender and age details when they get sent to the recruiting manager. You can still figure out a fair bit based on previous work experience, language they use, etc. but it's a decent approach to trying to reduce the unconscious bias.

My Dad lived and worked there for years. Anywhere close to the Old Town is perfect. Stayed in the Puro Hotel last time we went over, was perfect. There's lots of Air BnB's around that area too that are spot on. Make sure you head out to Sopot while you're there, stunning big beaches and cracking place to go for the day, especially when the weather is decent. Even Gdinya as well. Pretty cool war museum down at the beach there.

I've interviewed lots of folk, and now as part of my job train others on how to do it. It amazes me how many folk think that making an interview a horrible, stressful, difficult experience for all the candidates is the best way to find the ideal candidate for the role. Pure ego trip for the arseholes doing the recruitment, and nothing more. As for my personal experiences, when I was just 17 went for a job where the Managing Director told me my first mistake at the interview was the crucifix I was wearing, as he gets most of his clients through the lodge. Cringe to think I just accepted that as honest feedback at the time, but I was just a young lad...
