Quality player - natural left back - that's highly rated at ICT & been in & around their First Team squad since end of last season, but with them now having most players back from injury, looks like they're looking to get him some game time. Would expect him to be well appreciated by the Elgin faithful.
Also got the option to bring back our own 'out on loan' defenders if those current agreements end at the change of windows.Happy with that. Sounds like a good replacement for Spark, I had my doubts about him at the start of the season but he has steadily improved as the season has went on.
sparkie been great but this kid good by all accounts

wot do we need to add to the squad in the window some experience be good

But you find it acceptable to say "f**k the pope" in pubs? Aye, we can all see who you really support.
...and my mutton molesting northerner, the SPL doesn't actually exist which real football fans of real clubs and not those who support a 2012 tribute act
you seem very uptight some northern air might do you good

The more clubs who publicly out Fraser Aird as a raging bigot the better.
This is a minor offence compared to him joining in an Orange March, and singing "f**k the pope" in a pub, though.
and he wore a blue jacket once shocking behaviour

Would love to see Brora get into League 2. Fancy them or Kelty to beat bottom of L2 (whoever that maybe this season). Both would compete very well in the league.
kelty would be quicker to get to !

it could happen 2020-2021 if brora really want it - if they don't then hopefully they'll pass on the league title and let Locos have a go, although they saved their worst display of the year for arguably the biggest game, broxburn at hame
think brora be closer to 100 miles away !

Heard yesterday was Glass’ last home game and he will go back to the Arabs after the SA game in 2 weeks time.
Encouragingly I heard we’ll get another Dundee Utd player as his replacement. Don’t know who though.
shane will not be joining anyone

Little doubt about this and a few of my Dons supporting mates were at the Cove game yesterday.
In a moment of procrastination, I have produced a wonderful set of stats that Ebbe Skovdahl himself would admire. Out of 9 games, only 2 have clashed with games at Pittodrie (jammy), one of which saw the lowest attendance. From what I can see, Cove get bigger crowds when there's no Dons game on, but this only applies to Sat 3pm kick offs. Anyway, fill yer boots (sorted by attendance):
Date Opposition Cove Attendance What Aberdeen were up to at the time 28-Dec Elgin 1264 No game - away at Tynecastle the next day 03-Aug Edinburgh 995 No game - Hearts at home the next day 17-Aug Cowden 880 No game - away at Dens Park the next day (cup) 16-Nov Brechin 862 No game - international break 09-Nov Stirling 825 Away at Ross County 31-Aug QP 661 Home vs Ross County 28-Sep Annan 642 Away at Ibrox 29-Oct Albion* 633 (Tuesday night) No game - away at Hamilton the next day 14-Dec Stenny 391 Home vs Hamilton judging by yesterday they are exaggerating the crowds looked around 800 yesterday I would say. Strange why they would do this other than to perpetatute the myth that they are going places. We always under state ours for sure.

Think there were over 1,000 at the first Elgin-Cove game earlier in the season aswell, & imagine those figures will be repeated in the further two league games, so definitely good for both clubs' coffers to be in the same division.
if only we could get real derby in this league 75 miles away !

big travelling support given only 75 miles away !

So finished 2-0 at Balmoral with Glass scoring the first and creating the second. He stood out as a class above. Right back Blair Yule had a solid game.
Elgin had a couple of half chances but nothing too clear cut. Thought Daniel McKay looked threatening with his pace. Shane and Hester didn’t really get any real service.
Elgin slightly unlucky to lose by 2 I thought.
very reasonable report elgin had 5 key players out today with spark going off at half time so pretty decent performance. Thought 5and 6 very solid for cove as well as glass who is superb

Thanks for that. Strangely others not too keen to impart any info about the game from our perspective.
one of the worst example of poor sportsmanship I have ever witnessed on the lead up to your consolation goal

Thought Brechin struggled to offer much in the way of a threat. Neat & tidy at times in midfield, but that was about it. Elgin overall had that bit more quality, & pace like Hester & O'Keefe will always give any team trouble, but it was a very inconsistent performance across the piece, & from individual players. Not a huge amount of decent football played, with too many sluggish 5 & 6 out of 10 performances, & struggling to think of many players that you could say were 7 or 8. But heh, it's 3 points & other results broadly going well for Elgin aswell, so hopefully that will give a bit of confidence & impetus to proceedings going forward.
cant agree thought we much improved today

One of the Brechin committee took umbridge when someone shouted 'cheats' when they decided to treat the drop ball after Bronsky's head injury as a free kick into the box. Bad sportsmanship?
shocking almost as bad as the ref
