  1. Did Edinburgh Half In 1:35:24 which I more than happy enough with that. Thought i ran a great first 8 miles and then I’d say i managed to just about survive that horrible grind from 9-12.
  2. I shouldn’t expect anything less from a man who made an early 2000s dance track for pre administration Livingston FC but he looked very much like cocaine but in human form.
  3. If you stick with him through him being out for most of the season it wouldn’t make much sense to bin him now he’s fit. As long as he’s not playing at right back, I can live with it.
  4. It’s probably a case of us just being absolutely done with this squad so his departure isn’t seen currently huge travesty. He suffered being played in a midfield 2 as usually we’d have a fairly passive player in alongside him as well so very little came from the middle of the park. The list of midfield partners since he’s joined would be very grim reading. But yeah does the things fans like, runs around a lot and gets stuck in, though now he’s playing against Morton he’ll need to find a new team to only score against . In the right circumstances he could be a key player at the same time he could just be yet another limited lower mid tier championship centre mid. I’m fine with him going as we have had a good run with him but i have seen enough of him attempting to pass 5 yards for one lifetime. Though compared to the various sand dancers, I’d take limited but hard working over the various overweight messes coasting off reputation.
  5. Hopefully Palace Skateboards can sort CGT for the next season with a free wardrobe or risk losing him to another high end streetwear brand.
  6. Nothing but respect for Madonna phoning it in completely and still getting paid a kingdom for it.
  7. My word Iain Davidson wouldn't look out of place on this seasons Falkirk team, an absolute mess of a 'footballer'. Though it shows how much of a haddie McGrath is that he made him look competent. It's maybe the trauma of the last 4 months but I don't think we were as awful as people on here are saying, first half Raith came out hot as you'd expect but they didn't look like scoring until we went a goal up. Second half we neutralised them until they goal snatched a goal out of the blue and then it got very nervy. It wasn't a vintage performance but we took the chances when it mattered. There's flashes of a good team in there but, it's a case of trying to limit the various times where we lose all basic motor skills. I thought Brownlie had a smashing game, took charge of the aerial battle and handled a very good attack well, Murray has been terrific since the Dunfermline game and I hope he gets a full season to shine next year. Dykes 's first goal curved beautifully from the angle of the away section and surprisingly a goal where he had to put some thought into what he was doing. That Martin save could be the key moment in the tie. Wedderburn was like a giant Kyle Hutton, he just was so slow, so predictable, just a player that you don't want in a frantic playoff game. Not sure what substance the sponsors were on. I don't have an awful lot of hope in a rather mentally flakey side if we concede early but we did manage to escape with a 2 goal lead despite our best efforts. We've been fortunate at times in both first legs of these playoffs but i'm not too bothered about that currently.
  8. Gary Naysmith - Until Mid January - 8/10 - Has finally won over a large number of the fans. Progress In all cups, team looking like a playoff side. Few choice signings and we could be up there. Styles not really there but players are working hard for each other. Gary Naysmith - Post January 0/10
  9. GK - Leo Fasan FB - Aaron Muirhead CB - Tom Dallison CB - Niall Keown FB - Kenny Van Der Weg RM - Miles Storey CM - Ian McGrath CM - Robbie Muirhead LM - Adam Frizzell ST - Marcus Haber ST - Fais El Bakhtaoui Manager - McKinnon Set Piece Coach - Gary Naysmith
  10. Low is a flop in the sense of the fact we signed a very Injury prone player to a small squad and we managed him poorly. Fraser Aird is something i’d have done but it seemed at the time like it was a case of ‘oh he’s available, let’s sign him’ without much consideration of how he’d fit in or whether he was really needed. I’d say it was what we didn’t do that has hurt us more than the people we brought in, The lack of a third forward was the downfall. We’ve played the third most games in the league with the smallest squad, even if players don’t want to be third or fourth choice they had an opportunity to be a starter especially once dykes goes. Martin has been the worst regular keeper in the league so it’s on us for not getting someone in when it’s apparent he isn’t great instead of the current mess.
  11. Connor Murray in 45 minutes looks like the only person that had any sort of ability going forward in that team. Johnston went with as close to the players that he knew about as he could. Which I suppose he doesn’t have much of anything else to go on. Though that doesn’t justify keeping Aird on for the full match. I appreciate that he’s got his work cut out aiming a cross at the Ironing board up front but he does nothing, doesn’t commit players, doesn’t track back and is probably the last player I’d want out there. Subbing Mercer I thought was actually harsh as he wasn’t particularly bad out there, compared to the other jabronis. Jacobs is a player that will always avoid a lot of criticism, because he tackles a lot but he just can’t pass a ball and looked so slow. Doyle is a player I like and feel tries his best but he isn’t a centre mid and it showed, I’d have just stuck him out wide instead of staunch Ryan Conroy. Wilson was also dreadful, you need him to commit people and be unpredictable in a positive way. Dykes is someone I just can’t be fucked with really. I defended him time and again but he and Todd have checked out mentally. The decision to bring him back rather than move on has looked ill advised. I genuinely can’t wait to see the back on a lot of these gormless sand dancers and underachievers.
  12. Playing known strong character Fraser Aird a full 90 minutes in the first leg of a do or die match is some laugh.
  13. At least we’re covered for playing in league one next season if the playoffs don’t pan out.
  14. Jesus has managed to handle crosses a lot better than us
  15. To be contrary, not saying it was good but it was more memorable than the usual couple of blokes with an acoustic guitar singing a hauntingly beautiful cover. And i’ll be sure to have it my head when Partick dump us into the seaside leagues on the last day of the season.
  16. I was hoping he’d try and do the German announcer thing of just shouting the players first name to absolute silence. The younger lad was amazing, the more you looked at him the more jewellery seemed to appear. Really enjoyed it again, I started to notice the background having a few more things from earlier episodes such as the picture of Lucas Burnstigl. Following the production on Instagram, it’s quite incredible how much goes into it, they must have been fuming when Simeon Jackson did that penalty after they recorded the show. Only complaint from myself was the sound when Fowler bit into the nachos. I feel bad for anyone listening with headphones on.
  17. I'd largely agree with that, though in the amount of time they spent on the Albion Rovers thing, they could have even done at least two other sliding doors kind of moments. It did start to get a lot more like the actual podcast with the in jokes and stuff and understandably a little less stiff. I'd imagine they'd have had a lot of stuff from the first episode that they were able to lift from the pilot. Hopefully they haven't shot their load by the time the international break comes around. I still enjoyed it and it's significantly better quality of lower league discussion than anywhere else, plus the stuff about Rachel Small and that Craig Robertson were really good. All for finding out the more interesting personal stories as long as there's isn't an artsy video of some lower league jobber punting herbalife or hair transplants in the works.
  18. I get what you are saying but you could also look at the fact we’ve actually been better at coming back in games this season compared to the last two years, and having a fresh Stirling with a point to prove against a tired full back has more chance of getting a break through compared to blowing our load and having nothing to change if it doesn’t work. Perhaps with Aird as well that can cause us to be more attacking as we have more options to play with.
  19. You’d also say that when Stirling has come off the bench he’s made more of an impact than when he’s had a run starting because most of the time we’d have little else in the sense of game changing players. He’s a player that I like when we are chasing a game or if we are 2-0 up but he can be a liability because he’s not a defensive minded player. I can see why former left back Gary Naysmith doesn’t totally trust him.
  20. If you are going to continue deliberately missing the point and argue the merits of Sean O'Connor, his goalscoring record would be somewhere near the bottom.
  21. Alan Brazil sends his regards.
  22. I’d have hated to have been the guy to clean up the mess after Naysmith heard that an industrious midfielder than could play in two defensive positions was available on a loan.
  23. I think it’s a good move for him, firstly it’s in the league above so obviously it’s an upgrade, plus I don’t think it will be a huge change style wise from what he’s doing for us. If he went to a club like Hearts because he doesn’t score regularly and the fact he stands out more than others could get a lot of fans on his back like he did/does for us. Plus Livi most likely won’t have a load of options to choose from so he should get a solid run to prove himself. I guess it could be interesting to see how he translate at a higher level in terms of his pace and strength. To be fair if you are training against Gallagher, Halkett and Lithgow then you should make you prepared for most forms of combat sport let alone football. Hopefully the ancient Indian burial ground that curses any player that comes through at Queens recently from pushing on at a higher level isn’t still alive.
