  1. The one on the right is how I remember my Dad's Hearts scarf. The design at the end reminds me of the patches you used to be able to buy to sew on to a bar scarf. Remember the V for Victory club patches?
  2. I think the correct term used was college scarf. My mum and dad both had one( Ayr and Hearts respectively). Club badge or a design of some sort at either end and club colour stripes the length of the scarf. This reminds me of an old episode of Taggart. Mark McManus looks at his new sidekicks Uni scarf with a pained expression and asks " Whit ffitba team dae you support?"
  3. We seem to have recorded our better results when I've not bothered buying a stream. So I'm going for a walk at 3pm for the next three weeks.
  4. Have they said there is s problem with the main camera? Or am I wrong in thinking that we are getting the whole game through the lower placed one?
  5. Mine was fine, but I've just hot the 'roided wasp now.
  6. Haven't listened to Clyde since Jimmy "were you at the game" Sanderson.
  7. Not really a quirk of a stadium, but, on Somerset Road there is a bit of tarmac with white chips. When it was being laid someone put KFC in the corner in white chips. I appreciate this type of shithousery. Ps. It's not a fried chicken advert.
  8. I would have thought that Scott Burns will have had an idea who applied and contacted them. The article said the unsuccessful applicants had been notified, he probably scored them off one by one.
  9. If none of you have heard of Joe McLaghlin, then you are hardly likely to be old enough to have voted for Thatcher! Yes I am still feeling old!
  10. Feeling REALLY old here when some of you guys have never heard of Joe McLaughlin!
  11. A wee change of tack. Found myself 'walking down the Somerset Road' today and was gladdened to see the preparation for the Hub. Over the years we have seen or heard of plans for development which came to nothing, its just nice to see something actually happening.
  12. McCall said on the radio today that he was in no rush to get back into football just now. Especially under the current covid situation. Robinson said he had spoke to someone but it came to nothing. He didn't say who it was but I assumed that might have been Killie.
  13. Stevie McIntyre tussles with Joe Tortolano(?) in the Scottish Cup in 1985. Hibs scored an injury time goal to win 1-0. My first experience of Sunday football due to Hearts being at home too I think. Might have been the rugby mind you.
  14. In the 80's the Ayr Burners played at Dam Park. It could have been them. I was at their first game with my dad, who was covering it for the local press. It was a looonnng afternoon!
  15. Ayr's brutalist offering. The Dam Park. I've posted previous pictures but this one shows the wee hall at the back, conjuring up memories of kwenchy cups and 10p bags of crisps at school and BB competitions and finals day at the Ayr International Youth Tourney.
  16. That was him! Obviously all the cool kids were on the North Terrace that night, me too.
  17. The noise for the final 10-15 minutes of that Norway game was incessant. I don't think it even stopped when they scored! The other thing I remember was the Norwegian keeper, whose name escapes me, trying to hit the pipe band during the warm up.
