  1. You can look at this as all with RR social media a bit of fun but look a bit dickish when your team gets humped.
  2. For those of you we are leaving behind, with the possible exception of one of Raith/ Thistle/ Airdrie who may come with us, next season's Championship should be more of a level playing field and most teams should fancy their chances. United's points total will be one of the highest for years which means credit to Raith for going toe to toe for so long. Probably feeling more relief than joy at present. There is a lot of work to be done for next season.
  3. Just an observation from Fridays game you were lucky not to have 2 players sent off. Baird absolutely for stamping and Broadfoot wrestles United player to the ground. And the ridiculous amount of yellow cards Morton have picked up this season, way more than any other team, suggests its not hysteria that Morton are an over physical side. But that is Imrie style of play, perfectly entitled to play this way but don't get upset if other fans are not fans of it.
  4. United fans have been travelling in good numbers all season (over 2000 at our last away game against QP) and still have the 6th highest average attendance in Scotland despite being in The Championship. Smaller numbers for this one was probably due to the idea of standing on an open terracing in the pouring rain when it was live on TV.
  5. Funniest moment of the game was when the tannoy announced the attendance including the number of away fans. Rovers fans went in to beelin central. The most animated they were all afternoon.
  6. United not being promoted would have devastating consequences on the finances of the club so no United most certainly wont be trying to throw the league. We are just in a bad run of form with a manager who doesn't seem to be able to get the best out of the players at his disposal. There are clubs whose budgets would struggle to play at a higher level United aren't one of them. United's finance are set up for playing in Premiership something that isn't sustainable beyond 1 season in The Championship.
  7. As a United fan I am bemused by this but Capuano has stated he told Raith what the operational reason was but neither in Raith's statement or Ian Murray's comments mention what the operational reason was only they dont agree with ticket reduction and in Murray's case United are ''rattled' I get they may not agree with the ticket reduction but why omit the reason they were given. I don't think it is just United who are lacking transparency here.
  8. I dont think it is down to luck you have beaten us the last 2 games. You deserved the Tannadice win. At Starks United should have won that game. Leaving aside the first Raith goal was offside for most of the 2nd half United looked like the only team that was going to win it until that wonder strike. But that wasnt down to luck it was United inability to score in the 2nd half and make their domination count.
  9. That would mean bringing Cudjoe back in which for some reason JG continually leaves out despite the one game he started recently the 3-1 win against QP he offered something different.
  10. Our away record this season is much better than out home form We have struggled at Tannadice to break teams down. A few hundred less tickets doesnt not create an competitive advantage. Perhaps cup finals at Hampden where Rangers fans are often given 3/4 of the stadium is maybe a better example of being given a competitive advantage.
  11. You get that in leagues teams struggle against certain other sides. Raith have been United bogey team this season while we have been able to dish out hammerings to Partick Thistle. Raith have struggled against bottom club Arbroath, a team we have put 17 goals past this season. The bottom line is both United and Raith have amassed a big points total so far in Championship terms, granted we have a goal difference of +23 more which also tells a story. I do get that Raith fans are really hyped up for the upcoming games and I love this narrative that we are running scared and will amazingly counter it by a few hundred less Raith fans at the game.
  12. I don't know that's why I say they have poorly communicating their actions.I am hearing it is a security diktat but that needs to be explained. 'Running scared' is the least plausible explanation and makes no sense whatsoever.
  13. United have handled this badly and poorly communicated what they are doing. The idea on here though that they have reduced the Raith allocation because they are running scared is quite amusing and delusional. As if a few hundred less in the stadium is going to tip anything.
  14. There is going to be more demand from United fans for this game so the club are left with 2 choices move Raith fans to Fair Play and give Unite The Shed or keep Raith fans in Shed and United fans occupy The Fair Play. The latter has happened like never. I don't think the police would agree to it as crowd management before and after the game of having United fans at either side of The Shed would cause logistical issues. it makes sense to move Raith fans. Shame for them that means less tickets but there isn't really much alternative.
  15. We are still top 6 for attendances in Scotland which is one of the reasons why we will need more tickets for United fans for this game. The demand to fill 3 stands will be there.
