  1. Livingston fans with their own bizarre version of Dale Carnegie's 'How to win friends and influence people' and desperately trying to pick Internet fights with Cowden supporters. Weird club, weird fans...
  2. Oh, I'm sorry. Because Livingston published a book saying they are the same club as Meadowbank makes it true? And because about five Thistle fans went to watch the club that makes up for the many who continually protested against it? Seriously, those are some incredibly, incredibly poor arguments... It's like when MK Dons tried to keep hold of Wimbledon's history and everyone just thought they were weirdos.
  3. No, I'm not confusing your club with Airdrie whatsoever. No-one has yet found a Ferranti supporter who was not completely in favour of the team changing name and staying in the same city. Virtually all Meadowbank fans were vehemently against changing the name of the club and moving them to another city. Many teams have changed their name and fans still see them as the same team. For example, no-one thinks Dundee Hibernians and Dundee United aren't the same team. No-one thinks a team that changes their name and moves to another town are the same team. No-one thinks it is OK for the wishes of almost an entire set of fans to be completely ignored and a team franchised against their wishes. The fact you are actually in favour of clubs being moved against the wishes of their fans is bizarre. It is staggering that as a Livingston fan with years to think up a defence of your club's origins, you can't do any better than that. I could put up a more cogent argument than that quite easily...
  4. Feel free to explain why. Seriously, I'd be very interested... Cowdenbeath have been stuck in the bottom of Scottish football for years and have had a shocking season, but at least their fans know their team hasn't screwed anyone over in the process.
  5. I'm no fan of Cowden whatsoever, but, unlike your team Livingston, at least they don't exist because they destroyed another club. And at least Cowden haven't gone into administration twice to avoid paying debts to local companies...
  6. Agreed. Nothing is guaranteed to excite local Old Firm fans more than the chance of seeing Cowden play Stirling University...
  7. Wow. One moment you're asking a genuine question about whether a club has sought to get a new stadium, the next you're getting weirdness posted at you. Again, I have nothing against City at all, have paid the odd bit of attention to the recent move to Spartans but had no idea whatsoever if they've wanted to get their own stadium so thought would be best to actually ask City fans. Wasn't aware that it was such a touchy subject. Perhaps try taking a couple of deep breaths before you post next time?
  8. Jeez, I think you really, really need to chill out. I've nothing whatsoever against City and didn't imagine that wondering if they've sought to get their own stadium would cause such a meltdown...
  9. Of course, you didn't know you'd be in the Scottish League but you'd applied for election at least a couple of times in the past and had clearly set out your ambitions to get in the league. It's not exactly like you woke up one morning and found that, entirely against your best efforts, you suddenly found yourselves by mistake in the Scottish League. I don't think anyone is saying it would be particularly easy to get a new ground, but still begs the question of whether attempts were made or not.
  10. Would be interested to hear from any City fan about why they're in the stadium situation they're in. Was there ever consideration of trying to build their own ground or was that never a viable option?
  11. It's always positive when you're reduced to arguing whether the sex offender on your team is more or less of a sex offender than the sex offender on another team...
  12. I'd imagine lots of your fellow fans would question your loyalty to your team if the situation arose and you were completely fine about them moving miles away and renaming themselves. Still, at least you actually stood up and answered the question...
  13. Is pretty clear that you really don't know what you're on about whenever you talk at Meadowbank on this site. As a Thistle fan there's actually a few Livi fans who discuss the Thistle issue sensibly, even if I don't necessarily agree with them. You're not one of them. Can't believe I'm having to spell this out to you, but the main difference between Thistle and Clyde was that Clyde kept their name. There's other differences as well but I don't want to overcomplicate things for you. Anyway, I take it you'd have supported East KIlbride United then?
