Well, yeah, it's true that Lennon doesn't deserve to be spat at, have cups or coins thrown at him, or be the subject of sectarian abuse.
And thus far, a week into an official Police Scotland investigation, it seems like he wasn't spat at, had cups or coins thrown at him, or been the subject of sectarian abuse.
At least, not in the game at Tynecastle.
He appears to have been in the vicinity of things getting thrown around when the mighty Dons scored any one of their four incredible goals, but shit getting thrown around after a goal is something that happens in football matches, whether Lennon happens to be in attendance or not.
Lennon, much to his dismay should he find this out, isn't the centre of the fucking universe. When things get thrown around it's not because the great Neil fucking Lennon happens to be in the stadium, and given nothing at all hit him then he might want to consider that he wasn't the target, if there even was a target. In fact the guys in the press box were hit, so presumably it was they who were the intended target rather than Neil Lennon.
I don't doubt people were calling him a c**t, though.
But given he IS a c**t he can have no complaints about that.
