    I’d try to keep Moult, Sibbald and probably Graham from the boys expiring. Possibly Mochrie and Meekison as well. Surprised we’ve got Grimshaw on a two year deal, I wasn’t aware of that.

    I always have a little titter at everyone who parks as close as they possibly can to the ground, or in Asda's car park and then complains when they and the other 20,000 people trying to leave from the same place at the same time are somehow gridlocked. It’s a big city, there’s no end of free street parking, just park slightly further away and try to avoid having to drive up Aikenhead Road or thru Rutherglen Main Street.

    They did start the season with a 14 game unbeaten run, that’s quite consistent. Truth is both Rovers and United have produced the kind of points tally that would usually win you the league.

    How Watson finished the game I’ll never know. Even after not being booked at the penalty (I’ve seen the replay with the camera in Jerry Kerr and it looks soft, while from George Fox in real time you could see Moult being held) he then pushed Thomson to the ground right in front of the linesman, which people had already been booked for.

    The only reason Murray got a boot in the face was because he pulled Moult over backwards. It should’ve been a free kick to United, ridiculous decision by Walsh. That was the general view around me in the ground at least, haven’t seen any replays.

    Docherty was outstanding today. As was Tony Watt actually, thought he was our man of the match, not Fotheringham who may have been our worst. Shows what the sponsors know - too much red wine.

    Genuinely should’ve been a free kick to United, was right in front of us. The first of many bizarre decisions by Walsh. However, Walsh clearly knew Dick was at it feigning a head knock as he made him stay off the park while United attacked. That was my view anyway.

    Double jeopardy says you don’t get a straight red for denying a goal scoring opportunity if you’ve made a genuine attempt to play the ball and a penalty has been awarded. Whether it was a penalty or not I don’t know, haven’t seen it back, but Walsh was booking guys for that kind of thing all day.

    Looked a clear penalty from where I was sitting, although I haven’t seen it back. Couldn’t understand why Watson didn’t get a second yellow.
