  1. David White is Head of Academy, rather than a director. He has a UEFA A Licence.
  2. Look more closely. He reacts to the first effort, which McGinty blocks. The ball then bounces off the Livingston player, leaving Mutch with little chance.
  3. Doing my best to give you the benefit of the doubt, but your comment about schools comes across as rather ignorant.
  4. He never did. More likely to watch it while sitting in his car and smoking a fag.
  5. The very one. I'm sure he ate a pastie or sausage roll instead of a pie, but the FA still went after him.
  6. If you're thinking of Sutton United then the game was played at Sutton. Arsenal's last home match with a non-league club was in 1956.
  7. Garry Agnew was left-back that day. Gardner did play, though can't remember too much apart from the game being awful.
  8. We played Coleraine in the Martyn Campbell testimonial. Unfortunately the National League teams aren't interested, and the League of Ireland season starting in February causes problems.
  9. I'm sure I read it somewhere, though I could very well be wrong. Ironically Ayr have played a home game at Cappielow, against Raith in Challenge Cup tie. We were in the process of erecting new floodlights at Somerset at the time.
  10. The first Accies v Ayr match of the 96/97 season was at Cliftonhill, with the other being played at Fir Park as you mentioned. The clubs have also played each other at Firhill on a couple of occasions - definitely happened during the 94/95 season.
  11. There was a lot of that, and likely other foodstuffs. I wasn't investigating too closely. The polis were waiting for them at Troon.
  12. Point of order. There was no Ayr v East Fife food fight. The Ayr players were spotless and busy playing cards (and sober). It was East Fife v East Fife (and they were pished).
  13. Bit different when your Mrs and wean are 400 miles away. I doubt your lot would have in excess of £200k to splash on one player these days.
  14. Whitletts Celtic existed briefly in the early 20th century, back in the days when Whitletts was a mining village.
  15. True. Had a quick look at the groups and think Group C is the only other one which can have a runner-up on 10 points.
  16. If we finished on 10 points and Stirling won they would win the group.
  17. Probably more to do with Hewitt being ill and Bangala being injured.
  18. I see what you mean. I'm too used to our players moving on at the end of a contract rather than being transferred.
  19. Not convinced about that. Seems more like he'll end up in the administrative side of a club.
  20. I would imagine if there was it would've been advertised by now. Probably unlikely that Townhead Park has the infrastructure for that at the moment.
