  1. I would stick with Bannon, Davidson, and Williamson - they look to possess the desire and hunger required for the remaining matches.
  2. Agreed. Being a club that is able to: "deliver a wide range of activities...educational programmes, employment projects, and encourage inclusion....provide employment opportunities for local people, support the local economy, and improve the wellbeing and life chances of local people..." is a lofty ambition indeed.
  3. Using the Holyrood facility makes more sense. If you are wanting to serve the local community, it is a good start to be based in the community. And at a facility that is well known to that community. An added bonus would be that we get to use that Holyrood pitch for games next season until Lesser is ready.
  4. A free flowing football display putting QP 2-0 up at half-time, followed by a very nervous second 45 holding on for dear life; after all, 2-0 is the most dangerous scoreline in football!
  5. Hoops, Sir; Hoops! As for this evening 3-0 for the QP. Early nerves and tension to give way to free-flowing football and goals a plenty.
  6. Being four points up with one game to play would be a rather enjoyable night out.
  7. A game similar to the one against Cove recently is what I expect, although Arbroath I would rate being the more danagerous of the two. Still, we should find the necessary space to pass and create enough chances to win. 2-0 win for QP.
  8. The last three games have always been a concern. At the start of the season, I looked at that thinking, if we need a point going into the last three games to avoid 9th place or at best, sneak a playoff spot - that will be a tough ask. And the way results have gone against those three so far this season, it remains a tough ask. However, we are going for top spot - it could be wrapped up by then. Crazy times indeed.
  9. I had believed you would need a minumum of 66 points to claim the top spot; looking at the above, 63 could be enough.
  10. I could understand their hesitancy to talk openly about the plans should we be promoted; so I pin my hopes that privately the decisions regarding the stands have been made and the necessary works are are ready to go once this season is fnished.
  11. Exactly. Win the next game and see where it takes us. The way others are drawing with each other, three more wins could be enough to win automatic promotion. Whereas up until this week I believed 66 points would be the minimum required to take the title.
  12. A wonderful fightback. Courage abounds with this group of players.
  13. How minted are we? Having our lights on for the sheer hell of it!
  14. I may pop down on Saturday to check out the changing facilities ahead of boarding the bus for the game.
  15. It is. Though am sure there are trains every half hour to Edinburgh.
  16. Listening to the live commentary on the wireless set yesterday afternoon, it sounded as though Morton carried on from where they left off last Saturday against our wee team. Another booking for Mr. Imrie - the lovely sporting chap that he is.
  17. Title or Play-off spot; the kind of trouble I don't mind. However, this a good opportunity to grab three points and have one game less for others to catch-up.
  18. The intricacies of Southside Sporting politics make for a fascinating thread; only when I know we have clean hands in this episode.
  19. In addition to those two, the bench on Saturday looked strong - the team was not going to be weakened, no matter who came on.
  20. Games against players fighting for a new contract next season are a dangerous opponent; however we should be more than capable. Our squad looks stronger going into the last ten games than it did for the first ten.
  21. Some wild possibilities being discussed yesterday evening as we left NDP; two young men ahead of myself saying win the next four home games and then clinch the league against Partick Thistle. I would self-combust at such an outcome.
  22. We will not have to wait that long; three points in the bag by half-time.
  23. Thank you for pulling that together - some particularly good questions and generous insights from Simon.
  24. After a poor performance last week, that looked at times like we were trying too hard to be very deliberate in our passing, getting back to doing the basics correctly and playing our way out of this dip in form. So that is a good point earned against a decent side and hopefully, the flow is back for next week. We are in a good place as we enter the last round of matches of the season.
