  1. Agreed, that was an interesting insight. Especially the comment about the difference in training attitudes and focus. It has only been a few weeks and yet it seems clear there is an uplift in intensity and expectations on the training ground.
  2. And the point about our new manager that I had not realised was that he had never played professional football. It has received little or no comment in the media; my how times have changed since Ian Cathro departed Hearts. However, I prefer the thought of the players being coached by a professional coach than anyone from the usual list of former players that were bandied about. I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments of your final paragraph. playing attack-minded risky football will give us some crazy wins along with some hard-to-take defeats. Roll with it
  3. Am staggered that anyone would buy anything at these prices. It was the same when we played at Hampden. The simple answer is to buy from the local shops instead.
  4. And yet you continue to try and make a point about how clubs are financed. Understanding a Balance Sheet is quite important. All fans should spend less time fixated on the profit / losses and learn to read the balance sheet; how much debt there is, when it's due and how much cash you have to pay that debt.
  5. If you knew what you were talking about (and clearly, you do not) the important page is the Balance Sheet. And since these Accounts were published, we had a wip round after the last game and we'll be fine.
  6. Not too grim; being with inked with Bayern Munich, young proven goalscorers, addidas and bar staff! If it all comes off, it would be a cracking close season.
  7. So long as we have enough bar staff signed up with the prerequisite skills ahead of this Saturday.
  8. As for a goal scorer, it may be Scott Williamson's time. To focus purely on staying central and be on the end of crosses from either wing.
  9. A change to the year-end that was first mooted back in December.
  10. Someone will step up and take on the role as Captain. Perhaps the change of Head Coach will encourage one of the younger players to step up; Fox, Thomson or Bannon.
  11. The game is run on secrecy and Privacy, we only found out last week where we would play our home games this season.
  12. Am hoping we are setting standards higher than that of Chelsea. However, I agree, the Championship will be more competitive and arguably of a higher standard this time around.
  13. I was hoping he would stake a claim for our RB slot this season. Good going forward. And I presume we have a better RB lined up is the reason we let him go.
  14. In recent times, we have come to live in constant fear about what the Committee might reveal next; on this occasion, however, am sure it is a Dutch Master.
  15. I would not be surprised if the new head coach is unveiled at said event. A meet and greet, with the fans, sponsors and players; would garner much positive publicity.
  16. The 1:30 email has become the 5pm announcement of an event in two weeks that will be coached by an as yet unknown person.
  17. So, is today the day we receive the 1:30pm email, announcing the new Head Coach?
  18. It is the Attitude - not the Aptitude - that determines your Altitude.
  19. Thankfully, in that case, Robin is Dutch. Reading the Ajax Showtime site, he has chosen Mount Florida over Amsterdam!
  20. I read that his preferred formation was a 3-4-3; that'll be Eze, Bannon, and Fox at the back; get that threesome working and we can build from there.
  21. Wait until we start winning games again and the BBC will have us on the Friday night 7:45KO slot. Am surprised how much I enjoyed the Friday night football.
  22. A onslaught of exciting announcements to now follow.
