I have decided that the funnier of the two options available for League winner this year is for Celtic to win it. It's a close run thing - Brenda whining and greeting is always hilarious and winning the title will give him the chance to lord it up for no good reason - but the sight of Rangers fans raging that the cancelled Dundee game cost them a title that was rightfully theirs is too sweet to be missed. Dundee win, with an incredibly dodgy, VAR awarded, last minute penalty would be ideal.

It's not technically wrong (and you're not wrong that it's probably a waste of time being bothered by it), but it's symptomatic of the terrible, Old Firm weighted reporting in this country, where flattering the cheeks is much more important than accurate/useful information. I mean, Connor Randall spent more than a decade on Liverpool's books and played for the first team in the EPL 3 times - but I doubt the Record would describe him as 'ex-Liverpool right back Connor Randall'*

23 minutes on the pitch for Rangers in his entire time there, in a game against a team from Gibraltar. Played many more games for Dundee, Harrogate Town, Stirling Albion, Morton, Morecambe, Tranmere and Queens Park - but yep, he's a 'former Rangers winger'.

I'm not sure I understand the question, tbh. What's the point of what? If you mean football in general, it's (hopefully) to watch my team play well, beat other teams and win trophies. I don't feel any need to gloat about that to other football fans, except possibly at the time it happened. I certainly have never felt any need to cast up previous victories months or even years later to opposition fans. Apart from anything else, what would I be bragging about? Surely bragging is something you do regarding something you personally have achieved? With football, all I've done is watch. (apologies if that's not what you meant at all - I'm currently choked with the cold and possibly being dim)

I can understand that - but I've never really cared about 'bragging rights'. I've got lots of mates who are Hibs fans, and they'd no doubt rip the piss a bit if they won the league, but they're not exactly the age of the - God save us - Ultras, and so it's not going to be something they'd be likely to bring up very often (as a comparison, I genuinely could not tell you that last time I mentioned the 5-1 cup final to any of them, but I'd guess it was within a month or so of that game taking place). And the delight of our league becoming something which more than two teams could win would more than make up for any piss-taking/gloating.

Re the discussion about who would you have win the League, a cup etc - one of the Old Firm or your local rivals? I'd have Hibs win the title before I'd have either arsecheek win it (but obviously I'd prefer in an ideal world that the winners were one of the other 39 teams).

This is why it should have been a no-brainer win on appeal for me. There's literally no attempt at all by Shankland to gain an advantage here - he doesn't claim for a penalty, he doesn't roll about, he just gets back up and keeps playing. Really poor decision by an inexperienced ref.

Spot on - never a penalty (which Shankland doesn't claim for), and never a yellow either. I make that two very dubious yellows for Shankland in the past month - if there is no statement from the Hearts board by end of play today about biased refereeing, it will be a bloody disgrace and cause for sending season tickets back.
