  1. Motherwell FC - A Thread For All Seasons

For embdy who has ever played Football Manager/Championship Manager: "David Turnbull has absolutely no intention of joining Celtic as he is worried about the difference in language and lifestyle". Schadenfreude on an epic scale. May the seethe continue indefinitely. Cheers PA
  2. Motherwell FC - A Thread For All Seasons

In my opinion, and, admittedly, from far, far away, you appear to be the saddest person in the whole of t'internet. I truly hope you get your Nat King soon, pal. Cheers PA
  3. Music Chinese Whispers

    Urusei Yatsura - Road Song:
  4. Best Debut Albums

The Skids - Scared To Dance Urusei Yatsura - We Are Urusei Yatsura Blondie - Blondie The Delgados - Domestiques Pavement - Slanted & Enchanted Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures Undertones - Undertones Elastica- Elastica Supergrass - I Should Coco Stiff Little Fingers - Inflammable Material Honourable mentions outside the top ten would be Sleeper (Smart), Marillion (Script For A Jester's Tear), The Clash (The Clash; though their singles and b-sides far outshine that album....), Voivod (War & Pain). Cheers PA
  5. Russia

I worked in St Petersburg from November 2016 through to February 2017. Well, for the visa I was a 'consultant', not a 'worker'. What @Tight John McVeigh is a tit states worked for myself, however, this was pre novachek, of course. And I wasn't aware of too many issues with UK passport holders/England fans last summer. In my view, you certainly do not need a travel country to visit Russia. And, I know @Tight John McVeigh is a tit has visited several times. Cheers PA

Dolly Menga, embdy? For a male footballer...
  7. Time for Eck to go already!

If I was swithering about going to the Portugal game, or anything similar down the road, the phrase 'management is in my DNA' would keep me away until he was replaced. McLeish took a great Motherwell team, 3rd in the league, to 2nd, 8th, 8th, 9th; left mid-season. In management, what has this clown ever done outwith some tainted success with the Blue Bigots? At least WGS combined his arrogance and self-importance with the occasional witty one-liners. I am sure (hoping) he gets retired on medical grounds. Cheers PA
  8. Scotland v Belgium (07/09/18)

I wouldn't class myself as having 'unreasonable hatred' towards Strachan, however due to some of his bampot past quotes (e.g. velocity, sell by date, etc.), he didn't have a completely full tank of goodwill with myself. Regarding Georgia, I partly blame the suits for agreeing to play there in September, where the ambient temperature would have been mid twenties, something Scots aren't acclimatised for, and nothing to do with genetics. Back to McLeish, I was at his last ever game managing Motherwell where we promptly went 2-0 down to Hibs, who were utterly pish at the time. We did end up winning 6-2, that night; Jim Duffy's last game. McLeish inherited a solid Tommy McLean team, and through time, made them progressively inferior. The world of football has changed immesurably since then. I am not seeing anything to suggest that McLeish has in any way moved with the times. And whilst all of us like to maximise our revenues for our families, many will not forgive him for his move to Birmingham, when by all accounts, compared to 95% of us here, he would have been a very wealthy man. Finally, in my view, McLeish is the symptom, not the cause. Sadly I cannot see the necessary change at the SFA for our international fortunes to improve. Cheers PA
  9. Independent of the result, in no way are you leaving Fir Park (should you be there) unhappy, pal. Admittedly written 01:45 local time....
  10. Most Iconic Concert of All Time(single band)

Screen on the Green, Islington, 29th August, 1976: Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Buzzcocks all on the same bill. I randomly walked past the venue about a year ago, and thought to myself; 'this place is famous', then googled it. Three of the most influential bands on the same stage in one evening. Which modern day triumvirate may come remotely close? Cheers PA
  11. Aberdeen vs Rangers - Opening game of the season

Your thread title is deeply inaccurate. Perhaps you meant to add 'League'? But, pedantry aside, Stevie G has come across well so far, and, I hope the overall standards improve for all of our top clubs, whether #TB4 or not..... Cheers PA

In a parallel universe there is an Internet Roll posting on football forums as CJM.
