We are on course for 299k at present for 4 th place (388k for third) which is a massive increase from last year's 104k in League 1..    figures look good remember though every season all clubs get their prize money split over the season,  example 3 payments of 50k and the final figure decided on league placing,  so a final prize money payment of 149k would be due,   We are definitely in a much better place and get more value for money than Dunfermline and Falkirk who seem to constantly rack up debts with little reward...

I expect the same signing structure to remain in place over the summer,  however frustrating that may be..

388k for fourth, 478k for third.

Guess whose arsehole wife thought it'd be smart to get a 7am flight to Miami so she can have an extra day seeing her pals before she goes to the conference and set her alarm for 4.30 and didn't wake up for it, also waking up the baby, who hasn't gone back to fucking sleep since and it's now 10am?

    (here's a hint, it's fucking me. Cuntress)

If you're not close to the airport then that's already Russian roulette timing for an international flight!

    Hiya Guys.

Newbie to this. Used to just browse for signing rumours before the social media days.  Scottish football continues to be absolutely enthralling right up to the final whistle this season. Anyone got any particular favourite moments of this season so far?

Few things about me. I'm a Dundee United fanatic, I'm currently a huge fan of Abernyte Breweries take on an 80 and I'm a big music fan specifically punk rock.

    Pleased to meet you all!

Even apart from the money, which as you say could all disappear quite quickly, one thing that finishing 4th and the positive feeling around the club would hopefully mean is that we are a more attractive option for potential signings next season. At the start of the season there's no doubt that of the full-time teams we'd have been last in the pecking order for signings in the Championship. Mainly financially, but also players would have assumed we'd be down the bottom and not fancied it. Next season, even if our budget increases enough to be in the same ballpark as some of the other clubs hopefully the perception of the club is more positive than it was at the start of the season and we'll get good quality players. Particularly if you are a young player and see the opportunities they are getting, how much they are improving and the style of play that will hopefully help them develop.

Yeah this is a good post. I agree about the perception of Rhys and the club being very positive. I also think if we stay down Premier League clubs will be wanting their best youngsters out on loan to places like us and more specifically to our management team.

A large explosion would certainly improve the Drumgelloch area… would hope the coffee cabin would escape unscathed though.

Previously would have assumed the large explosion would have been the breath of one of the DrumGs regulars getting set on fire, not so much now it's a spar ...

SPFL Media Watch did a spreadsheet last season that suggested it was £90k gross. Their pinned Tweet has the final numbers.

It's got this season's figures tabbed on its Twitter account: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1e5A-1txobxW548SF2-4IpwkmqP156qydOfxYBANAUM8/edit#gid=0

Looks like £100k gross this year, or thereabouts, for the difference between 3rd and 4th.

Obviously, that's not the full picture, not least because most Clubs' player bonus structure will likely eat into this. So the net impact will be smaller (probably closer to  £70k depending on other related assumptions).

But your £75k figure isn't right. It was last that in 2019-20. The figures are calculated as a percentage of the prize pot, and the total prize pot is bigger now than it was then. So whilst the proportions haven't changed the absolute gap in pounds and pence has.

Funnily enough I noticed that spreadsheet not long after I had posted here as I had linked it in the Airdrie thread.

The good news for us at least is that we're looking at a fourfold increase in prize money this season even if we finish fourth. Good chance to kick on as a result.

Thanks for those figures cb, quite a difference as you say from last season.

And of course added to that (less higher stewarding and other costs) increased attendances compared to last season (averaging around 1800 per game compared to 1200 this time last year, so around + £150-200k over 18 home games).

Yeah, absolutely, plus hospitality is sold out every week this season, which will be another wee bump.

Not being cheeky cb, genuinely interested to know how did you get to that figure? Thanks.

Last season after TV was factored in 4th in the championship got 388k.

From this document (our last year's total is also here)

Scottish cup we're getting a bit over 70k from here

    League cup 55k from here

    https://spfl.co.uk/news/press-release-record-prize-money-for-viaplay-cup

Can't find challenge cup exact figures but remember 50k plus TV money for winner being bandied about around the time of the final.

So taking them as best guesstimate then it's circa 570k, which will actually rise to well over 600k if we're third.
