  1. I was thinking this yesterday playing the semi finals at Hampden gives the Glasgow clubs a massive advantage. Given that few clubs outside Glasgow have won the cup since Aberdeen's great days then it's incredibly difficult to do. Aberdeen beat both in 1983 at Hampden and also beat both in 1982 albeit the Celtic win that year was at Pittodrie.
  2. It was a flashback to the '80s when you seemed to score that goal all the time.
  3. Only into a Celtic crowd. 100% booked when it happens. Optional for all other clubs. The rules as per SFA referees.
  4. The play-offs begin kick off next week with Tranent playing Celtic-B, but only for the mere consolation of 5th place! Only made it one one match this season - Edinburgh Uni v Celtic-B good ground so a shame they are down although probably deserved.
  5. Fair play to Aberdeen hardcore fans at Hampden today, one for following their team despite a difficult season and two the great reception they gave their team at the end of the penalty kicks. Totally deserved.
  6. A good day out for United fans today. A fine performance - early on it didn't look as though they wouldn't get the goals their play deserved. Worrying for Queens Park
  7. No then quite an important game for them but going by the interest on here passing everyone bye.
  8. If there are only ten teams in league there would be less opportunities for Ross Co, Livingston, Hamilton etc that bring the overall average down, to be in top league. If the traditionally better supported clubs play each other 4 times rather than 3 in the split league format eg. Hibs v Hearts that isn't guaranteed 4 matches per season, although accepted either would have a greater chance of going down, would generally mean averages attendances go up. Sorry didn't think it was difficult to work out.
  9. Hopelessly under sold themselves. Ended up with a smaller ground than Hibs.
  10. Th sad reality for Hearts is even if you win th Scottish Cup and go on to have a successful time in Europe next season and beyond, your crowds will bearly be affected as your owners have built in no room for growth. So no wonder you are wanting this explained.
  11. I doesn't matter which club it happens to, its wrong in any league set up.
  12. I've been to a few Elgin games over last five/six seasons to visit some grounds I've not previously been too but didn't realise you have been involved in the league set up for 24 years now. A nice wee milestone coming up next season.
  13. Allowing teams like Bonnyrigg Rose with the most basic of ground facilities into the league set up.
  14. I believe we need to play to our strengths - the leagues of ten suit Scottish Football, reference the Championship which truely is a great competition. We should go to PL1 and PL2 both with ten teams that would greatly increase gates and overall interest as the majority of games would mean something. A bigger prize pot spread among the top 20 which should be supplemented with a decent TV contract. We were told when there were only 10 teams in the top division it was too competitive and too many managers got sacked but more get sacked now than ever and as stated before relegation is part of all leagues. I've not seen a better option than the top 10.
