No, the extra time loss then a league draw with an absolutely horrendous Man Utd team let everyone else know that there was nothing to fear from Liverpool.

Atalanta, Palace and Everton proved the point.

Still, they won the Caraboa Cup.

There was 2 games in between the utd games which they won so I’m not sure.

Salah looks completely dead on his feet and completely out of any confidence. Nunez has no composure whatsoever in front of goal and he as flapping at everything coming his way, VVD isn’t getting any younger and Trent is a total liability. I can see Liverpool going into freefall next season as someone has said. Funnily enough you mention how pish Utd are but I think they’re in a far better situation than Liverpool going into next season.

There was a brief period after the second where I thought a Liverpool goal and a nervy finish looked nailed on but they have just got worse and worse. Shelling absolutely terrible efforts from all angles here and devoid of ideas.

The Atalanta drubbing at Anfiled was then beginning of the end for them this season and it’s just tedious viewing now.

Rodri is a right sore loser. Rattled after we gubbed Spain and greeting after last night.

I love the entitlement - they should have won because they had more of the ball despite not scoring more goals than their opponent. City led for 18 minutes in total over the 2 legs.

  4. De Bruyne miss aside I don’t think Real Madrid rode their luck last night and they did very well at frustrating city and looked dangerous themselves. Rudiger also has the next best chance at winning the tie before penalties. When I heard Fletch and Mcmanaman afterward they were making it out as though Madrid had defied all the odds to through.

I think Grealish had a good game and should have stayed on instead of Foden.

The Silva penalty looks awful when a keeper stands there and catches it like that but that’s the entire point of either picking a side or going down the middle, I wouldn’t give him a hard time over it. I saw a video of Dibu Martinez when talking about the World Cup final and he told Dybala to do the exact same thing in almost identical circumstances with his penalty: The opposition had just missed their penalty so the pressure is on the keeper and he’s going to look pretty stupid if he stands still so he’s going to pick a side. Fair fucks to the keeper for saving it.

Saw this tweet generating heated discourse on Twitter, reminded me that there's a thread on this subject on here

Is there an official term for a young person that goes through a dog phase? There seems to be a trend when the person has competed uni/travel/partying where they then focus all their attention on getting an expensive accessory dog breed that they parade about for a while before they have children or get consumed by their careers and then the dog goes to being a massive inconvenience that they get someone else to look after in their later years.

I see this all the time and the chap in the picture looks like the perfect illustration of it.

Bruce and Pallister aren't as good as Van Dijk. It's not because of the era they played in, its because they aren't as good as him.

    Silly sossij.

Love to see things like this. It probably only comes in once in a lifetime for the punter - who will more than likely spend about £24k on daft £5 accumulators but right now, he's Milhouse.

Yeah it’s outrageous - it’s probably all over Twitter but I don’t have the screenshot of it to share right now.

  7. I didn’t watch all the game but it looked like a continuation from Thursday night with a pish atmosphere and a real lack of belief on the pitch from Liverpool. It looks like they are all exhausted and are throwing the towel in.

    Donnarumma is having a mare.

He is flapping but I’m not convinced he’s at fault for the goal, it’s a lovely disguised whip into the box and if he doesn’t go for it Lewandowski has a clean shot at goal.

Arsenal will beat Man Utd. Liverpool play into United's hands with their gung-ho approach and Arsenal don't give up many chances (no goals conceded so far in 2024). Fancy Man City to win out and the game it all hinges on will be the North London Derby.

I hope you are wrong re Man City anyway. Would rather Arsenal won the league for a change but Liverpool would still suffice for now.

Man City will win every game they've got left and Liverpool might too. Arsenal will trip up a couple of times and finish 3rd.

I dont think Liverpool will - a few tricky away games particularly Villa and then spurs at home. I think city will draw a couple and Arsenal will lose to Man Utd.
