  1. Much as it pains me, I'm going to give him a pass on this. Doesn't mean I like him one iota though..... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/apr/27/allan-mcgregor-rangers-administration
  2. Aw c'mon - this is not a time to be pedantic. It's a time to celebrate again and again and again. It should remain here until the cheating snatches worm their way back up in to the top division. Because it's going to rumble on for years and years. Then when they get there we can abuse them all over again.
  3. But that still suggests relevance? "Have yous got a fucking six lane motorway running through your place? Thought not." Surely a total bypass is much more preferable?
  4. Coming soon....Fat Sally and the West of Scotland Juniors Chorus cover the Classics. About the only chance they've got of generating any money at the moment. Anyway back on topic....
  5. I disagree. It's still in as poisonously heavy rotation as the horrendous day it was spawned.
  6. Unfortunately in the corporate world, it is more the norm than an exception. The bigger the footprint, the more leverage. just have a look at the banking industry for a start.
  7. That was pretty shocking, I thought. In fact some of the language used by people in responsible positions throughout this whole affair has been beyond irresponsible, tbh. Right, I'm off to foment some social unrest on the streets of LA.
  8. I don't think that's what he was getting at. It's one thing to know in your heart you've got no chance. It's another to have your fucking nose rubbed in it by the authorities? Oh and of course he'll be back....
  9. See I know what you're saying and it is now a distant dream. But you're allowed to dream, aren't you? For all Mercer did for Hearts in turning round a football club, I think his attitude that we could only realistically confirm ourselves as the third force actually hampered us in the mid/later 80s. If that's the message from the top, how does that drag you over the line when you have an opportunity? There's only so much realism you can bear?
  10. Well you missed a good article. Also Rob Hughes is a Brit. "Rob Hughes has written, broadcast and edited about sports for four decades. His columns in The International Herald Tribune since 1977 illuminate the global phenomenon of soccer for readers in 180 countries. He has reported on the World Cup since 1974 and the Olympic Games since 1988. In his native England, he was chief sports writer for The Times of London for a decade and a writer for The Sunday Times and Sunday Times Magazine for more than 25 years."
  11. That was epic. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a few handbags breaking out right now they're off air........
  12. Do they all keep delaying making a "decision" so nobody has to make a "decision"? It's fucking tragic, tbh. If the rest of us conducted our lives in this kind of stasis we'd all be fucked. At least most of us know how, when and where to pass a buck. They don't even seem to know what the buck to be passed is? Grade A twats if they pass on it today.
  13. You're right I think and we should expect a "yes" from some with a very heavy heart, But when you're so close to the breadline and basic sustainability, it's a rock and a hard place isn't it?
  14. What Doncaster is trying to do is actively force people to the wall. That's really sick.
  15. I like this man lots. Live within your means? It's what we all strive to do whatever the circumstances.
  16. My answer would be "Why should the 41 innocent clubs have to put up with your playground bully tactics any more, CW?" If you had any sense of decency, you'd have resigned by now? You are beyond compromised.
  17. Vlad won't on 2. He's loving this. In a completely convoluted way, it's playing out exactly as he said it would. He's no fucking visionary but he's so got lucky here? He'll see it all through now because it's fun:)
