This is the hardest conference. If the league started in September, Heriot might have a chance. They struggle with players moving on and most players away hame for summer, although as Heartz said, they are expertly coached and play some cracking football. Lothian have invested, Haddington seem to have retained most of the players and adding more. St Andrews were coming into their own in the last few months, again they will invest. Do pay attention, I speak from an objective vantage can point. Kelty played a long ball game all lads season, am not knocking it. It’s all evidential on your highlights. I did notice, at start of this season, Tam had them playing a build up game. This is an opinion having watched Kelty many many times. I have nothing against Kelty, well run club, good people. Sometimes, it’s good to show opposition credit, when results does not go your way.

Everything wrong with the Scottish game. To win a league or a game, you have to be able to beat the opposition. Irrespective of what set up they play, you (Kelty) with your position in the table, level of players, higher money, should be able to beat a vale team missing a lot of players. With their manager also playing 90 mins, tells me more about Kelty,s weaknesses and lack of tactical awareness. Blaming an opposition set up shows a real lack of class, champions act with class. Friendlies are not the same as a competitive match. Kelty have pumped the baw aw season. You have all those quality players and all you do is play long balls, it will catch up with you. Find a plan B. It's terrible and won't cut it in the lowland league. No, am not from Lothian, am a neutral. I watched the game last sat, Lothian only team that looked to pass the ball. Lothian, the better " footballing " on the day. Kelty deserved the win, playing to their strengths of long balls, pick up seconds. They will get found in lowland league. Lothian better suited to lowland league football.

I went along tonight to see the LTHV vs Heirot watt 20s and what a great game it was. The scoreline did not the reflect the quality of play on show. Both teams started well with Lothian taking the lead from an error from a heriot watt defender and played some nice stuff but from then on heriot watt started to dominate and created some very good chances with the Striker one on one few times but missed the chances. 1st half 1-0 to Lothian . 2nd half h watt started on the front foot with some great passing and movement which lead to their equaliser with a great finish from the left mid who had been a thorn all game . At this point it looked like only one winner with heriot watt dominating and laid siege at Lothian goal wth no success and not clinical enough in the final third . Game changed on 70-75 min mark with another defending error from a throwing and Lothian got a second and at this point the students head dropped a bit and Lothian took advantage and scored three in the last five mins. Great game and I had a look at the both teams table position,very suprised to see how lowly the students were and the gap between them and Lothian as it looked like two evenly matched teams, as they played some great attacking football and were always looking to build up play. Lothian have pace in the team and have some exceptional players . All in all,a very high standard of play from both teams and very refreshing to see good coaching points being passed on to both teams and the students coach kept encouraging his troops when a mistake was made and even when they were 5-1 down . I will be back watching the 20s again before season end .
